It was at George V, I was mentioning how beautiful BBKs look and she said box leather is discontinued, explaining how they can't source the leather anymore...etc

They have been rare for a while now. I believe all box bags are push offers for that reason (correct me if I’m wrong). Same for smooth Barenia. I wonder if they are becoming even rarer...?

I hope H never discontinue these unique / special / iconic leathers!

ETA: meanwhile you can at least still get SLGs in box online...eg

I think there’s nothing wrong with getting bags in similar / same color if it’s a color you loooooove and if the bags are different styles / uses ;) *enableenableenable*

That being said if you aren’t sure - stay strong and say no!

The permabrass was the first I tried - it's beautiful. I wish they did rose gold on this bag. But I love it anyway.

Well, it's Barenia Faubourg, but it's still a gorgeous leather. If they made the mini in smooth Barenia I wouldn't even have let it out of my hands! I was actually looking for the 23 in smooth, but now I think it's too big for what I need right now :)
