Offered a Birkin 30 vert D’eau matte alligator Outside of town - not sure how I feel but will check it out since I’m flying out tomorrow ! Any thoughts? I’ve wanted something smaller and shinny ( maybe a Kelly 25 or 20) but my dear SA did tell me this color is very tough to find and says it’s beautiful up close. Can’t wait to check it out

Show us pictures if you're able to! I just looked up the color, very lovely. I don't know if I'd go for the color though, I think I'd prefer it in a leather. I do love exotics but they are definitely out of my price range. I agree though, I'd prefer a shiny exotic (if I could afford it), like a B25 or a K25 or mini K.

I’ve seen one in person being offered to another customer in my home store. It’s beautiful. Very light and matte, so I would be worried about color transfer and also eventual slouching. Do you know what color the hardware is? The one I saw was palladium. It certainly was special and rare but would not tick the boxes for what I want in an exotic. I also want shiny and small (and gold hardware). But I’m waiting for Gris T croc.

I believe it just became one this year. Definitely double check with your SA though!

Edit: my intel comes from my SA's comment of that it may be harder to get next year when she was offering a C to me last year & then I read someone else's comment that C is becoming quota in the US. I could also see it being that H is *considering* making it one which doesn't necessarily mean they actually did. I am planning on asking my SA next time I see her!
