Ghillies is more special but will be delicate because it's Tadelakt. Fauve Tadelakt can look a lot like smooth Barenia (it is intended to resemble Barenia) so that's a positive. But this is not a bag you can throw around unless it's already got some marks and you don't mind. (Think of it a bit like Box calf.)
Fauve Tadelakt CAN read VERY warm, almost orangey, so know that if you are looking at pictures, maybe ask for different lighting.
Barenia Faubourg is beautiful and will make a classic everyday bag. It will get marks but in the BF way, not the way Tadelakt does.
They're very different choices. If it were me I would probably take the BF. I have a smooth Barenia B35 and I love love love that bag. But if you love the Ghillies style, it's quite rare and the bag is more "special", more of a collector bag.

It was a hard call!! I'm still a bit bummed about it, but I'm trying not to add bags that are not completely perfect in my eyes. I am just not a big logo person and as chic as Constances look on others, I don't think the bag would suit me. Luckily this was not the one of my SAs who is adamant that I "need" a Constance :)

Thank you so much, it's really help me to understand more this tadelakt leather, cause it's totally new for me. Are those true BF is last waterproof then smooth barenia (the old style one)?

I don't want to go super far off topic in this thread...if you can find one of the Tadelakt threads, tag me and I'll tell you everything I know from owning a Tadelakt bag. And I'll try to link to images of my Fauve Tadelakt Kelly (which now belongs to a wonderful forum member). I do really like Tadelakt.
I don't have BF, only smooth Barenia, but there IS a rumor that BF is not immune to water. There's a GREAT Barenia Faubourg thread in Clubhouse :flowers:

I passed on this bag last year because I want a Kelly.

i passed on this bag last year because I want a Kelly. I regret the decision still. I would have used the bag....not everyday....and it’s barenia. So basically, I understand!
