I think this is the one we were joking about that was squashed by an elephant. It actually looks a lot better than some of the other patients in this thread. But honestly, if I were to spend $30K on a purse - I think I would have treated it alittle more respectivefully than this original owner

I think this one can be restored. Probably 59 or so, since it has no zipper, only pockets, inside. Can someone ask the seller for the stamp on the sanglon? I'd love to know what year she is...

I'll do it, but if she asks me what a sanglon is, I'm lost....

ETA - Done! Disregard the above, I know what it is....:p

Brennamom, the porc kelly I got from Luxury-shops is I think from the 1950's; It has no zipper on the inside - only open pockets; the hermes engraving is on both metal arm parts (?) and there is no stamp like E in a square or p in a circle on the leather -- LS said it was pre-stamp. FInally the gilt above the square lock says Hermes Paris (but no "made in france" like my kelly from 1985).

Thanks 880! Haven't heard back yet from seller, but consensus seems to be ok here, no dire warnings from members..... yet:tup:
