Are these rules for LV.com on-line purchases or does it include in-store? :confused1: If it includes in-store, I really need to slow down.
Yeah brncutie is correct it applies to total combined transactions from in-store and online or through telephone customer service. I still think you are okay though since you never received a formal notice. Take a break and I am sure you will be fine once it resets in a few weeks.

Yes, a break is probably needed! I've only bought 8 items so I am still under the limit, but it has all been in last 3 months and I had been hoping to buy more. I do have a CA who knows me, so I will just make sure to buy in-store if (really *when*) I add additional items in the next 9 months.

If one hits the limit, can a partner buy for you? Just wondering if it is based on home address, credit card, etc.

If you buy in store and your CA knows you you should be fine. I bought over 30 bags and slgs last year. You just can’t buy more than 2 of the same item. If they tell you that you did hit the limit, you can bring someone with you to get it. They need to be in the store with you. You can’t just use their account.

Technically, yes, your partner can buy for you in person. Some flagships require ID. Some SAs can also be a stickler and refuse to process it. It is their call but I would tread carefully as you don’t want to come across as trying to ‘game’ the system. You are trying to build trust with your home SA after all. You want your own buying power back And sooner rather than later. The last thing you want is a grumpy manager on a power trip overruling and banning you for good. Not to scare you but I don’t want a bad situation get worse for you if you are misunderstood.

It can also get tricky if you have to do a repair later on, the SA might run everything by your partner first and communicate with them Leaving you out of the conversation entirely. Rude I know. I also think this happened to another member on PurseForum where she had issues with that discussed somewhere else I don’t remember where.

If you are at home, cookies are used on the website so if you use separate IP addresses, like one from work, it would be better. Almost all online traffic uses cookies. Credit cards are not tracked for everyone’s peace of mind.

You have mentioned you have made a lot of purchases over the last 18 months. Maybe you purchase too often? Returns also count as transactions. This latest one may have just put you over the limit. I don’t know your history but if any of the ‘rules’ were broken, you might just have to wait it out until your 12 months from the oldest afftected transaction resets - likely in 30 days since you haven’t received any letter indicating otherwise. The purchase limitations can be found online under the legal terms. I’ll post it here for easy reference and you can see if any of those terms may apply to you. I really don’t know what else to say to help you out. Good luck.

Wow! I definitely didn’t reach those quotas lol. I purchased a Speedy B 25 and my SA “found” a Speedy B 30 Azur I was eyeing. I also purchased two cosmetic pouches. Nothing out of the ordinary. No returns until the Speedy 20 with the guitar strap. And then the Croisette. I didn’t like either one- beautiful bags for others but they didn’t work for me.

I got a letter from PP (the bank) that they removed the charge from my account. They said LV has 60 days to provide documentation. I’m wondering how the bank can force them to accept the return. It’s the banks money and they already have it back- although tied up right now. LV doesn’t want the bag, just the money.

I’m so glad the charge was removed from your account! An additional 60 days for LV seems very generous. … I’m shipping back a bag to LV this week and am super nervous about it after reading this thread. I took a lot of pics and filmed myself repackaging it, taping it shut, etc. just in case I need some type of proof. I’ve never done this with a return before, but better safe than sorry, I guess!

I hope everyone else who is waiting on refunds gets theirs swiftly and without further hassle.

That’s a good idea! I’m going to take pics and videos from now on. The Speedy 20 return went ok - so I wasn’t overly concerned about returning the Croisette. I mostly worry about the return getting lost, damaged or stolen. I never thought they would say I did something to the bag to make it “not pristine”

Hmm don't know if this will work but I found a workaround for a sold out mini pochette earlier this year. Call Nordstrom. There are a couple of LV's in Nordstroms in the US and I placed an order over the phone with the one in Seattle when the MP was constantly sold out online. I paid with my Nordstrom Visa card and the charge on it was from Nordstrom, but I did get a receipt from LV. Could be a workaround until your un-banned?, if the charge is coming from Nordstrom rather than LV? IDK but worth a try!

Thank you! My closest Nordies closed and I’m a short drive to another one. That’s a good idea. I was thinking of calling my SA but I’ll wait a while. I’m eyeing the Christmas animation key pouch right now. I can’t believe the prices of the MP’s!!!

You have to call a Nordstrom with an LV in it. There's only a couple in the U.S. I live in CA but called the Seattle Nordstrom to purchase, and the SA shipped it to me.

Reading this thread made me decide to never purchase from LV again. Seriously?? They determine that a person is buying “ too much”? unbelievable.
And what’s strange is there is no response from LV yet. I know they have 60 days but I thought they’d fight the charge back right away. Meanwhile the bag is tucked away in its box. I just want to return it! LV won’t accept returns or exchanges in the store if you used PayPal - I tried with the Speedy 20. At least where I live….
