I purchased a Croisette just under a month ago and I felt it was a bit small for my needs. DH insisted on packing it up (just the exterior) he used a black sharpie marker to black out any labels and I put the return label on the box, taped over everything and dropped it off at UPS. I check the tracking and see it gets to Jacksonville - I’m in Palm Beach County. Then it disappears and gets delivered back to me a few days later with a white label over my shipping label!!!
So I call LV and they’re confused and promise to email a new shipping label. A few days go by and I call again ( meanwhile a hurricane is forming) and the rep has no idea what’s going on and emails me a return label. I rip off all labels from the box and tape the new label on and use tons of tape to protect the box. Tonight I get an email to expect a UPS delivery from LV. ??
I called them and they said they took pictures of the bag the FIRST time I returned it and it looked used. I said no one emailed me or said anything about the bag.
I never wore the bag! I only put the tassel on it but removed it and placed everything in the box. I hope it’s not destroyed by the past flooding and rain by the time I get it.
I think they’re annoyed that this is the second bag I’ve returned this year. But I’ve purchased a lot!
They talked to the manager but they refused to accept the return. They kept insisting it looked used. It could be if ut has water damage :(
I paid with PayPal so I might need to do a claim…

No, not at all! I was careful not to rub up against anything and super careful with the hardware and leather piece near the clasp. It’s a pretty structured bag so it wasn’t like it could get folded or wrinkled in the box either. I put the strap and tassel back inside just like how it arrived. The only thing that looked ugly was the shipping box due to the peeled off labels. It’s odd how the rep didn’t mention anything the first time AND there was no communication this time. No email or letter. I’m hoping it arrives back to me in good condition!
File a credit card claim and BBB complaint right away. The longer you drag this out, the more stressful it will be. If you are within the return policy deadline, the credit card company will side with you.

Easier to file a dispute if you return the package to sender and refuse possession of it, heads up
That’s interesting. I most likely won’t be home anyway. It would be DH and my younger son. Would it be better to accept it and take pictures of it? The so called damage? I know I didn’t damage the bag and I never noticed anything the last time I opened the box. I was mostly inspecting that it was there with everything. I used PP credit and already spoke to them. They suggested filing a SNAD claim if it’s truly damaged. I have 60 days. But my LV return window closes Friday. PP said that doesn’t matter. It’s just so concerning since it’s been in transit in its box - out of my hands since Sept 17 give or take a day or two.

You should have return to store if possible for you. If they make impossible for your return because you previously returned item, that is very poor judgment of them. Good luck !!!

I tried to return my last bag to the boutique but they said since it’s a PayPal purchase I have to do it online. That one went through ok online but I barely do returns. I got the bag back today and they kept the card and ribbon it came with plus there were a ton of smudges on the hardware and when I lifted up the clasp - a ton of small scratches. You’d never notice if you weren’t looking for them. I’m definitely filing a SNAD. Too bad I didn’t take pictures and videos! I will from now on. Thank you for responding! I can’t believe they kept the little card and ribbon lol

This is seriously so concerning! What a terrible experience. I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with this, and I hope it gets resolved ASAP. Good luck! And please keep us posted; I’m so curious to know how it all turns out. Thank goodness you have PP in your corner (or so it seems at this point).
