There is not an Hermes sale that I haven't walked out with two large bags of goodies, even when the word was that the sale was not good. I always find things to buy.

This sale was a total bust. I left empty handed.

If this is the path H sales is taking, then many of us will never go back again.

What the day was good for was catching up with fellow tpf friends. We huddled under a tent of mismatched umbrellas and braved the weather together. That was totally worth getting up at 4 in the morning for.

The H sale? The worst EVER!

:tdown::tdown::tdown:

The best part of the whole thing was indeed getting to huddle in our umbrella yurt and gossip and yak. Call me crazy, but I was pretty happy to have spent 5+ hours on my feet in the pouring rain with you and the girls, but not as happy that I only bought a pair of shooz.

my dear lulilu, there was only one breakfast tea cup and saucer in Nil pattern when I was there, so I took them home with me. I wish they had multiple sets. I was told by the staff that these were "one of a kind" left over from past sales so no more stock in the back. Anyhow, i wish they were wrong and replenish the stock tomorrow. good luck tomorrow my dear!;)

Aha! So it was you who ended up with that set after I put it back. Good for you. I love it, but overall I just felt like I was thinking of buying housewares to compensate for the fact that there was nothing there that I had hoped I'd find. Like audreylita, I have never left a sale without a huge haul, so I was pretty disappointed this year to see no SLGs, no scarves, no ties, no fragrances, no equestrian fittings/tack.

I did end up with a beautiful pair of shoes – Bravo black patent flats with palladium detail on the toe cap.

Mostly odd pieces though I did snag a set I'm dubbing...

'Emperor&Empress Exlir Set: 4"saucer, 4oz cup and cover in duel thin line, white set with green&platinum H.
And a mosaic set sans the saucer...

:pI plan to use this for Birds' Nest Elixir(rest assure - no humans/animals were harmed in the harvesting) :p

There is a set of 8 dessert plates 8" 'Bella Russe' teal/rg/orange/permabrass color - I love that odd set!

Lots of African theme in pop green and orange dishes, desserts, cup/saucer(espresso, cafe, hot choc sizes)

Black and white/platinum series - plates, same cup sets as the african theme, soup terrine...

Lotus series
Christmas series(at least its what I think :p)

Same stemware every year
Boring silverware, none matched much...

ps. Spotted Kelly Bensimon from HWofNYC

Can anyone remember details about the china? that may tempt me to wait in line tomorrow when I am in the city.

:hugs:he he he..it was me! guilty as charged. I really really wished there's at least one more set though.

Yes, this year's sale is a big let-down to say the least. I still can't believe they don't have any silks/leather goods at all. :crybaby: after all, aren't these what Hermes is known for??? we braved the weather and waited for so long because of our true love and appreciation for H, hermes should at least put out some nice stuff for us to enjoy on this dreadful rainy day!!!

I :heart::heart::love::love::love::loveeyes::loveeyes: your shoes though. Huge congrats, my dear. I wish I could have found a pair in this style too. Nothing pretty left in my size when I went back to check after buying china...sigh, I just hope this coming March sale will be a better one. that is if there is a H sale next year.:nogood:

Echoing the others...this sale was an EPIC FAIL.

I ended up buying a pair of mocha boots (thanks to Codygirl) for enabling!

The only + was hanging with old tPF friends and meeting new ones!

We are now half-twinsies! You are going to love them! Super cute and comfy.
Although, everything on you is great:yes:

Yes, I was disappointed when I first entered the room too. After waiting in the pouring rain then found out no scarves!!!But having a sale is better than no sale. So I tried my best to look for lovely items and walked out happy. Enjoy your shoes and do share pictures when you get a chance, :D

shared mine on page 15 of my summer reveal thread.

Very nice sale haul!!

**Sigh** Those heels with the dip dye ties are ones I've looked for ever since I saw Lala28 post them on her thread. Oh to be in NYC...

The sale was indeed a sad one with regard to what most of us long to find--SLGs, perfumes, perhaps the odd bag (one can dream), jewelry. . . SCARVES! It was bewildering that they had no silks at all. :wtf: BUT, I got a couple of presents for DH and a few wearable odds and ends for me and left happy (damp, but happy). And, yes, seeing some lovely tPFers was the best part, definitely.
