My Dark Grey 23k Pearl Crush!

The lambskin on this one is phenomenal because it doesn’t seem delicate at all. It’s vastly different from the previous soft and squishy-looking Pearl Crush bags.

This 23k one resembles soft hearty calfskin with structure. The exterior base/bottom is flat (like classic flaps) and not squishy like previous seasons.

Actually the SA had to double check if it was lambskin or not. Not hard by any means but not frail and delicate like my 2010 lambskin.

I’m still debating whether to keep her because I feel so guilty spending so much on myself this month.

keep! I think this season's grey is so beautiful!

If you’re looking for the beige WOC, I would go for the classic caviar. I saw dark beige classic woc last weekend and have been dreaming of it ever since!

If Pearl crush is a must, and If you’re open to colors, I would see if the Pearl crush option is available in a darker color. I just bought a very dark grey one myself in the 17cm version.

I picked this up today. 23k coco crush mini bag.

I’m on the fence whether I should keep it. I love the colors and style but concerned about the durability of the material, especially the white detailing. It looks like it’s made of a rubbery white out material. And it is a bit undone on top of the CC.

Any advice on durability of tweed? I do baby my bags and don’t plan to wear it out when it’s raining or to crowded places where the fabric could get snagged easily.

Also interested to hear people’s thoughts on this style vs the classic mini.

Oh! I love your bag! I'm eyeing this from the 23K collection too! Still waiting to hear from my SA... :hrmm: no news so far...

So, if you ask me, here's my completely BIASED opinion (haha). Keep it. Tweed is so classic Chanel and this is in black and white. You can't get more classic than that! I've been waiting for a good tweed for a while now and this is one of the best tweeds IMO. It's classic black-and-white and will go with a neutral wardrobe. I am also extremely partial to the adjustable pearl crush chain. It can be a shoulder bag or a cross body bag - you choose!

I only have 1 tweed bag (it's a 19) and I've had it for just over a year. I have no issues at all with the tweed. No pilling, no snags. I am careful with it and it's not my "throw around" bag. Since you said you baby your bags, I'm sure your tweed mini will look good for years to come. That said, every tweed Chanel makes is different so I'm sure some are more delicate (eg: the ones with sequins or ribbon threaded through the tweed) and will probably need more care. But yours looks hardy and durable!

Have you decided to keep the bag?

Agree on all points. :)

I made it through most of the month without a Chanel purchase, but ruined my record yesterday with these little beauties. And I had promised myself to stop buying fashion jewelry, but these were just too cute to resist

I have the same problem too. I keep telling myself not to buy fashion jewelries. But every season I would see a piece, especially earrings, that I really like.

Hi! Thank you this is very helpful. Yes I did decide to keep it. I also love how classic the black and white tweed is. I went back to the store and was able to exchange for another one. I’m slightly annoyed the SA didn’t offer me the other one originally, as the one I took home first had that small flaw with the loose white thread and I had said it bugged me in the store the first time. Anyway, all good in the end.
