Seller: Linda's Stuff discussion..

I can't speak for @hotshot, but I assumed you were Linda's competitor since 21 out of your last 28 posts in the last two years have been about one particular seller. Either that, or you had a bad transaction, things didn't go in your favour and you're determined to ruin her. It seems like a lot of time devoted to slamming one seller on eBay.

I don't know what to say, I've bought maybe five things (all under $100) from Linda in the 13 years I've been an eBay member, and all of my experiences were good. She ships in a timely manner, the items arrived as described, and she answered promptly when I had additional questions. I'm not sure what else I can expect from a high volume eBay seller.

Has she sold fakes? Apparently, according to some here. Let's be honest, you're buying something basically sight unseen from some person selling their used goods on the Internet. It's up to every buyer to do their due diligence, regardless of platform/venue. The thing is, it's not my job to police eBay or troll the Internet looking for fake purses. I have a real job that I get paid for, and if y'all excuse me, I need to get back to that :flowers:
I didn't find this thread until after I'd ordered my bag (which I don't have yet). Glad to see at least one or two people here have been satisfied with their purchases. If I'd seen this thread yesterday, I may not have bought the bag. Hope it will be as described.

I've purchased two or three times from Linda's Stuff on ebay. Each time I've asked for more photos of a specific aspect of the item. Each time I've received an email stating something like: due to the extent of their business it is impossible to take more photos of any item. Then their return policy is mentioned (as if the inconvenience of buying something that is not what you want is nothing important) I would imagine you will get an answer similar to that sometime today.

I actually picked up my last purchase as Linda's headquarters is about 5 miles from my home. There is a LOT of stuff there and I can't imagine how they keep track of it all.

Good luck, OP.
so were you satisfied with your items?

I’ve purchased from Linda’s stuff before and their items are fair for the price they charge. Their pictures aren’t great but I’ve purchased several items from them through the years and have been satisfied.

thanks.....hoping bag I ordered is good.......it was described as "no significant flaws or wear"
I knew they wouldn't be able to answer my questions about what season it was so I took it on faith that condition would be ok and used my judgement as best I could as to whether this was the bag I was looking for. Hope it will be.

I hope it works out for you. Good news is that I believe you can return if it's not as described. I've only purchased clothes from this seller so can't comment on bags but I imagine if they say "no significant wear or flaws" it should be ok. Good Luck!

thank you
price was low but I imagine if one returns something to this seller you'd have to pay return shipping.....I hate the idea to be out money and have nothing....hopefully it will be what I want

@sdkitty - did your purchase end up working out?
I swore I would never buy from this seller based on the horror stories I’ve read, but recently bought a lower-priced item... mostly because I had Ebay bucks to use up & couldn’t think of anything else I needed, and of course she has that coupon going on right now, lol. I’ll post here when I receive it (not until next week, I guess), but I’m very curious how this goes!
I do wish they had better pics that were able to be magnified!

If the item is not as described, the seller has to provide a return label, just FYI :)

So ebay and Linda's made the return very easy. Provided prepaid PO label. PO got it there in record time - two days from west coast to east coast. They have not generated my refund yet but I guess maybe it takes some time. However, they have already relisted the bag with the same wrong dimensions. I know they are big but they are risking another return with them paying shipping both ways.
Maybe she doesn't pay her help enough.

I'm glad the process was smooth for you but for good sellers who work hard to accurately describe and picture their items, it's frustrating. Linda knows she doesn't have to work to be accurate, doesn't have to worry about her account, doesn't get dings that any other seller would get so buyers are frustrated too when they get SNAD items.

And not only does Linda err in her listings but she doesn't even bother to fix those mistakes when they're pointed out to her, either in a message or through a SNAD dispute! That (IMO) is not indicative of a good seller.

agree
I was very disappointed when I got the bag which was in better than described condition but very small
However, as a buyer, her return policy is hard to resist.
If I buy from a smaller seller there will be either no returns or I'll have to pay return shipping.

And I'm finding a lot of the smaller sellers (not just ebay but other sites like Poshmark) are not good at answering questions or providing more detail. They put a brief description in and I guess you're supposed to just take the risk. I did communicate with one yesterday who answered my question right away. The the item sold to someone else. Their site has the communication posted for everyone to see. I'm guessing another buyer saw that I was asking and decided to buy.

P.S. I'm not bashing smaller sellers. I've done a bit of selling myself and I try hard to be accurate in my description and to respond to questions or requests for more info
But a lot of sellers seem to list their items and then just go away - I guess expecting someone to just buy it w/o asking questions
