Well I posted about my never using my BV veneta and had great replies about the brand in general so thanks to all.
Now I ask for your further advice -
In my heart I know I won't use some bags and I know that their resale is low so do I still sell at a big loss or do I keep even though I won't use?
What would you do?

I recently sold my Chanel mini reissue camera, for less than half retail price. I did not mind at all, as I d rather move on than keep things taking space in my wardrobe without earning their keep. I genuinely hope the lady who bought it, enjoys using it and I am donating part of the proceeds to charity. Win win I think. It makes me more careful about future purchases. People cannot realistically expect to sell all their 2nd hand items for retail price.

It depends on your personality. Several of my bags go on a rest period only to be brought out years later but if you know there's no hope of rekindling why you fell in love then best to sell or give away.

Have you thought of doing a 'one last trip' with each? Sometimes actually using a bag again can make me wonder why I ever doubted it.

Very seldom to bags go up in value, so like cars, the value that you can get for them is usually less than you pay. Keeping that in mind, you might as well liquidate something you are not using.. :)

Maybe wear it out a few more times before you sell. Since that increases your cost per wear, you get a bit more value out of it before you sell. Maybe plan a couple of outfits specifically around that bag. [emoji3]

This is what I do before selling and either I start to enjoy it again or I remember why I stopped using it. Then I sell it. I figure I would rather have some money and open space then clutter.

+1. I recently decided to give a bag I hadn't used in a long time another go, after I'd tried and failed to sell it on eBay multiple times. Turns out, I love it. It is unusual, and wasn't the most rational purchase from a resale value perspective, but I love that I have something really unique and I've received a ton of compliments on it. This is it, by the way. It goes great with jeans, and is also a fun summer night out bag. It's surprisingly versatile, and it makes me smile :). http://www.popsugar.co.uk/fashion/p...rgiela-Python-Print-Leather-Shoulder-Bag-1135

Another option is to donate it to a battered women's shelter or a home where very young pregnant women who have no family are living. These women are often in need of appropriate clothing and accessories for job interviews.

Yes I just gave away 7 bags in hope it will make some women feel special and give a bit of confidence-the bags were all in nice condition -some rarely used, and now I have room. I am not one to sell things so giving away to an honest charity felt good.
