i'm still deciding between daytona and now a lady datejust 26mm (haha complete opposites!) BUT rose gold does not come with diamond bezel (only white, yellow and platinum). i'm kinda wanting the platinum with ice blue bezel! we'll see what i like when i go to the rolex boutique in vegas next week! then i'll make my final decision!

thanks for everyone's honest opinion. keep them coming!!!

Have you thought of the rose gold Pearlmaster?!? It is absolutely stunning. Not as common like the datejust or daytona. Still feminine and insanely classic. They have a 29mm and now a limited edition 34mm, slightly bigger if you want a bigger look but at least it won't look masculine. Let us know what you end up deciding in Vegas!!!!! :)

^That's a great idea!!!! I was signed up to get the RG Pearlmaster...waited six months for them to actually start producting and distributing it and decided at the last minute on a whim to go with the WG instead. I love my WG, but the RG is so yummy too...

And ITA, it's VERY feminine, will never go out of style and you can get it w/diamond markers w/or w/o diamond bezel and w/MOP dial if you like. What a great thought AirMezPrincess!!

thanks for the suggestion AirMezPrincess - i called vegas and the 29mm rg pearlmaster comes with the spaced out diamond bezel. she didn't know about the 34mm. i'll try on everything next week!

thank you for your vote!

so, here is the list of possibilities:

keep my rg daytona
rg 36mm daydate president fluted bezel, pink dial, diamond markers
rg 26mm lady datejust fluted bezel, pink dial, diamond markers
platinum 26mm lady datejust diamond bezel, glacier blue, diamond markers

and anything else that catches my eye!

I understand your concerns with the Daytona. But honestly, it does look gorgeous on you! Although I wholeheartedly agree with others that you shouldn't have doubts on such a big purchase. I also believe that a watch, or any piece of jewelry can grow on you. Besides, I think the Daytona can add a sense of coolness or chic-ness to any girl. It's kind of like adding a leather jacket to any outfit, it instantly elevates it to being a little cooler. Yes, it sounds corny, but that's how I see it in your situation. You can pull it off even if your style is lady like, because the Daytona will be an element of surprise that no one will expect.

i agree with you completely. i'm still blown away every time i look at it. i've been paying more attention to my daily outfits and seeing if the daytona would look good with it, and so far, it would be a perfect watch for yesterday and today's outfits.

I would say that a mid size (31mm) RG Day Date would be perfect!! Even in RG, the Daytona is a very masculine watch IMO.

do they make a 31mm day date? i thought the day date was only in the men's 36mm. hmmm, i'll have to check out rolex's website now.

honestly, the 36mm day date is a very nice and classic watch but compared to the daytona, it's a little boring IMO. almost like an old man's watch (ducking - hopefully no one takes offense). the daytona is VERY hipster and awesome. so, i think i'll either do daytona or lady 26mm in rg - but not having the diamond bezel on the lady datejust KILLS me. they would be about the same price point and i think the diamond bezel really makes the lady datejusts special.

In 31mm there is no Day Date; only comes in two larger sizes (there's a new Day Date in 42). But the 31 does come in rose gold/stainless steel with the speckled diamond bezel and the diamond set VI.

I know I said this before, but Daytona has one of the BEST movements that Rolex had ever made! The RG makes it so pretty and one of the kind. Maybe try to wear it for a few days, see if it will grow on you...
26mm is quite small, it looks more like a bracelet to me rather than a watch.

LOL I was alos interested in the 36mm rose gold day date but my DH thinks it looks like an old mans retirement watch (so I opted for the TT datejust instead)!!! I have to agree with both of you but don't get me wrong I do think it is very nice but I would feel "old" wearing it... the daytona on the other hand is bad a**!
