there are several chanels at mdm milan (raffles place) - 227 metallic red reissue, 227 (metallic?) black reissue and several vintage lambskin small flaps. i think there's more but i didnt really notice the rest :p

there's another consignment shop at far east plaza (3rd level). she sells chanel too but weird opening hrs and i dont like her attitude. i asked to see a bag & she said she wouldnt show it to me unless i was gonna buy it. how to buy if you cant even touch the bag! ridiculous!

Hi,

It depends on what styles/models your bags are. Most of the time, the prices offered are quite low. But now with the bad economy in US, it's rather slow on ebay. Well, you could try ebay first and if it doesn't move, then you bring it down to the 2nd hand stores. GL

Once i plan to sell on of my chanel bag, its still in pristine condition and one of hte consignment shop mentioned above only offer me S$1000 and told me that the bag needs to be repaired first, the leather smell, dirty, etc etc...so many excuses..

One week after that i sold the bag on Ebay for usd$1500..

Speaking of The Attic Place, I think I remember seeing a really small blue city. In calf leather. That was probably a fake.

You know the thing about second-hand stores, its really unwise to buy and sell there (my own opinion) cos they usually take in at a very low price and when they sell you, its steep. I know cos I have dealt with them and I always feel foolish afterwards... sigh... :cursing:

The bags generally go for a better price at ebay. The shop owners tell u the bags need repair, cleaning and quote low prices as they need to make a living off u (buying at low price and selling at a high price).

The one at Capitol Building and Far East (next to Turkish restaurant) has questionable bags. Branded bags on L3 Far East Plaza has interesting selection but weird hours (2-8pm). The Attic Place at Far East Shopping Centre has a huge shop with lots of bags but very very dusty and forlorm looking. Mdm Milan (Raffles Place MRT) and Prestige Collector (United Square) do get new consignment stuff frequently (I actually see more diff Chanels there). Never been to the Tanglin Shopping Centre and Bugis. I know they used to list on Yahoo auctions.

I sold mine at Bagzarr at Lucky Plaza, nice laday called Cat, fun to work with, but you need to be firm with price you want, just like the other shops, she will try her best to slash the price down.

Hi sweetie, i would rather not get it in singapore as the price is way higher than in USA. I will prefer to do a phone order directly from Balenciaga New York (shipped internationally but have to pay additional shippin costs). If not, you can also check with aloha rag online as they are the authorised retailer for balenciaga.:heart:

Personally i won't want to sell my bags at the consignment shops as they can't sell it at the price we want. Besides the market in singapore is really small and the buyers still prefer LV, gucci or maybe chanel (but more classic colors, they don't explore brighter colors). Sorry to say that singaporean's choices are still limited, not like in USA, the choices are wider. Eg, if i sell a red chanel bag, i could be sell it higher on ebay than on consignment shops, not forgettin they can't even offer higher....it's like wasting my time:smile1:
