Wood hangers are the best! Makes it easier to choose my silk in the frantic am rush. However, the wood hangers I use have a rubber coating (for holding dress pants in place) which keeps the silk fr slipping.

This is how I store my silk scarves - in my Grandfather's (born 1882) filing cabinet. With acid free paper and MaiTai's lavender sachets and stored by colour.

I really love the fact that you could find the perfect use for your Grandfather’s filing cabinet. inheriting furniture can be both a blessing and a nuisance but this one is is perfect use!

OMG Holsby! This is so awesome! Beautiful and functional!

Wow! Great ! The shallow drawers seem perfect!

Wow, I love this! An antique flat filing cabinet - brilliant.

This is amazing, Holsby. And every time you open a drawer, you can be reminded of your grandfather. I love it.

I love the idea of this. The poster on Instagram uses trouser racks for her hijabs. Great idea as you see all your scarves at once and it folds flat against the wall.

This would be great for me because I know I use the ones out more than ones hidden away. However, that could be overwhelming unless organised into colour, size etc (which she has). DH would feel overwhelmed unless it was in a walk-in.

I have a scarf season rotation of about 15 H scarves per season depending what colour phase I'm going and these are 90% of what I wear for 3 months, they are just folded in a stack because I get very familiar. This helps me know which I need to wash and which are clean.

Most others are on 4 scarf hangers on the back of bedroom doors (140s, 100s and MTs on bars like hers and 90s & 70s on the round hole (poke through) kind. If I use any of these, none go back until washed.

Mousies (all stole and 140 shawls) are in MT (round boxes).

The odd special one in original boxes like the leather collar-Carre Cubed

It is obvious that I have to get an IG account!
Thank you for posting a picture showing your tansu! The wood is beautiful.

That’s amazing Holsby! And your scarves must smell heavenly when you wear them!
Thank you! I was rather proud when I realized that I could throw away documents of no value and let my scarves move in!
The scent stays in the drawer and leves the silks, odd enough. They just have the scent of Hermès silk.
