Hello!
I purchased a twilly ring from Hermes.com and received a clear, rubbery tube with it and i have no idea what it's for.
Do i throw it away? Is it supposed to help me run the twilly through? How do i do that? :confused1: 100% clueless.

I have the heart twilly ring and it is really small. only twilly worthy. Not sure if a gav would fit ( like this one advertises)

scratching
Hello, I have a question to the fellow tapferstem that have purchased this scarf ring.I had mine sent to the boutique and did not pay attention whether the plastic rubber was removed by the SA when she unboxed the shipment or whether it did not come attached like in last nametea‘s case….. Anyway, fresh out of the box, my Twilly Ring has a slight smiley exactly where the ring touches the metal. Does anyone have had this experience as well? I wonder whether this is to be expected or actually a defect. In my case, it’s not obvious, put when put in the right lightning at the right angle, it is visible. Thanks

@Sylvain Can't speculate on the source of your "smiley" but you might consider returning it - I think H pieces should be prefect right out of the box.
This is my cautionary tale of my experience with an H scarf ring that also had a "moveable" piece, the "Fer a Cheval". It is a tube design with a horseshoe charm attached which is free to move. Over time this caused scratching and a big "smiley". I took it back to the boutique & they sent it to Paris with the hope that the scratches could be buffed out or the piece re-plated (this has sometimes been an option with the belt buckles). Word back from Paris was the the micro-plating on scarf rings is too thin to buff out, nor could they re-plate it. Based on this experience I would never buy another scarf ring with any dangly pieces. I would note here that posters on the Belt thread gave some good advice with respect to CDC buckles - put a dot of silicon on the ring to prevent scratches from rubbing. I only wish I had had this advice before my scarf ring got damaged.

I'm so sorry for my late reply. I have a baby so things have been hectic.
I'm afraid I don't have a lot of experience with twilly rings. This is the best I could do. Still need some practice.20210806_121222.jpg

Hello ! I am wondering if anyone has used the Buldoc ring to tie a twilly ? The actual product image on the website has a model using it for a twilly but I am worried it might be too wide and fall off.. any input is appreciated.. thanks !

Hi there, while I do not own the Bolduc scarf ring, I can tell you that I have had scarf rings falling of my carres while walking. Thus I would be very careful on using a regular scarf ring on smaller formats. If you compare the pictures for gold and palladium, you see how the fabric is very cinched for a regular carre. I have tried putting a rectangular scarf ring on to my Twilly and it barely holds on while I am standing still. The only thing I could imagine working would be to tie a knot to create volume and to place the scarf ring directly on top of that knot.

Thats what I thought.. thank you for your reply.. I appreciate it !

Hi, I've read that the chaine d'ancre scarf ring can fall off too, being too heavy. Do you know if the "perforee" version is lighter by any chance? It should be, being perforated all over, no? Can you post pictures too? Thanks!
