oops. I can explain that. I remember in the boutique someone was examining one and an SA unfurled another. Both were unappealing cws. I quickly glanced at the scarf pattern which led me to conclude it was balls of yarn (tho why H would make a scarf of yarn balls was a little puzzling).

I only began to pay attention to this pattern when I saw the purple cw on the web. But Pursecrzy, your green one also made a positive impression. Good choice!

I am lucky enough to have one in another CW, and because I detest snails, I can only wear it if I rename it and see it as depicting amonites - I swear it works for me :-)

22 May 2016 SPRING IS HERE! Let’s see your TENDER GREEN OR PASTEL scarves!

Winter’s brown has turned to green—
And now we have a change of scene:
The wilted garden’s fresh and new,
A sign at last that winter’s through.

Since green’s the color of the week,
Show off a scarf or top that’s chic!
If you lack green, then try pastel—
Hermès, as always, looks just swell.

The object here is tender shades,
Not always trees and grassy blades;
Pastels and greens come out to play
As springtime colors rule the day!

Some examples from my scarf folders:
De Madras a Zakynthos (the turtle is a perfect spring green... who would guess!)
Serenite (such sweet leaves and butterflies)
Neige d'Antan (Winter scarf with Spring green)
Beloved India (okay, so not pastel... but it's so GREEN!)

These are all so lovely!

I'm glad you say that, eliwon. Snails are a tad creepy (sorry for bad pun). Interestingly, there is an old and I think pretty scarce HS that pops up on ebay from time to time that is called "Geology"" or something like that that I think has ammonites in it. Have you seen this scarf? I don't have a picture of it and it's not a particularly eye-catching scarf but it's interesting that something like ammonites would show up on an HS, such variety.

Sure, no problem for me, eagle -- the top is actually a pale greeny-grey called "vetiver" that I photographed this winter & was too lazy to update and re-shoot for spring. Maybe next week for "One Scarf, Two (or more) Tops" Week...

I was wondering if the seemingly gray color was just a camera reaction of the kind which happens fairly often with the subtle colors of clothing and scarves.

A greeny-gray sounds lovely and in fact is a summer color I wear fairly often. Just for color reference, there is a nice light green agate which has been used by iconic jeweler Seaman Schepps for starfish and frog brooches. I think of greeny-gray as in that color fam.

"One scarf, multiple outfits or tops" versatility thread sounds like a really good idea, ABQ2ATL.

All stunning ABQ! Love the Zakynthos!

The reve d'escatgot is beautiful!

Thanks!

Echoing what the others said, the Reve d'Escargot is very very pretty [emoji7]

Thank you!

My apologies: I got The Art of Temari confused with Reves d'Escargots. So anything I said about yarn balls does not apply to Escargots.

LOL! A friend asked me the name of the scarf and I said Reve dCorail. Thought about it then remembered that was a different scarf.

I also have Art d'Temari in the b/w CW.

Pursecrzy, I can't see the design clearly, but if the 140 summer silk is the one which looks like funhouse mirror images of buildings, then it's Les Ateliers. I was gushing over it, but didn't commit in the end.

Yes! That's right! Thanks so much.

Reve d'Escargot is gorgeous in this colorway:tup:

Thank you!

I can finally enter an on theme photo.....floaty, pastel scarf....It is Joyaux De L'Ete, in a 280 X 140 cm size.

I have just decided to let it go to a better home sometime soon - pastels and I will never be good friends, unfortunately.
