22 May 2016 SPRING IS HERE! Let’s see your TENDER GREEN OR PASTEL scarves!

Winter’s brown has turned to green—
And now we have a change of scene:
The wilted garden’s fresh and new,
A sign at last that winter’s through.

Since green’s the color of the week,
Show off a scarf or top that’s chic!
If you lack green, then try pastel—
Hermès, as always, looks just swell.

The object here is tender shades,
Not always trees and grassy blades;
Pastels and greens come out to play
As springtime colors rule the day!

Some examples from my scarf folders:
De Madras a Zakynthos (the turtle is a perfect spring green... who would guess!)
Serenite (such sweet leaves and butterflies)
Neige d'Antan (Winter scarf with Spring green)
Beloved India (okay, so not pastel... but it's so GREEN!)

Wow, so may beauties! Twins on the UTW mousseline.

Bunnycat was asking me questions about my yellow double moussie, that I first posted on this thread. I decided to share my response here after realizing that I just bumbled my way into tying a brand new knot with it!

"bunnycat, I won't have time today, but either tomorrow or Tuesday, I will get it out again and take pictures of both sides. I may even weigh it! I will only be able to compare the moussie weight to the 70 cm vintage silk weight, since they are the same size. The other side is not plain. They both have the pattern on.

On a side note, I went looking to find out which knot I used and see that I invented a new one because of my fading memory! I started out to tie a chou chou knot. But instead of a half knot with the two opposite corners, I tied a full knot.....and then pulled the two leftover corners thru the middle and ended with those leftover corners changing places with each other. I don't think this new, mixed up knot, can even be termed a variation on the chou chou!"

I love, love, love the top two. Very much like #4. Not feelin' the love for the gray top but the Neige d'Antan itself is a beauty. I hope it was all right to say this.
