22 May 2016 SPRING IS HERE! Let’s see your TENDER GREEN OR PASTEL scarves!

Winter’s brown has turned to green—
And now we have a change of scene:
The wilted garden’s fresh and new,
A sign at last that winter’s through.

Since green’s the color of the week,
Show off a scarf or top that’s chic!
If you lack green, then try pastel—
Hermès, as always, looks just swell.

The object here is tender shades,
Not always trees and grassy blades;
Pastels and greens come out to play
As springtime colors rule the day!

Some examples from my scarf folders:
De Madras a Zakynthos (the turtle is a perfect spring green... who would guess!)
Serenite (such sweet leaves and butterflies)
Neige d'Antan (Winter scarf with Spring green)
Beloved India (okay, so not pastel... but it's so GREEN!)

Lovely scarves! Is the intro your original composition? It's great!😄

Thanks!

oops. I can explain that. I remember in the boutique someone was examining one and an SA unfurled another. Both were unappealing cws. I quickly glanced at the scarf pattern which led me to conclude it was balls of yarn (tho why H would make a scarf of yarn balls was a little puzzling).

I only began to pay attention to this pattern when I saw the purple cw on the web. But Pursecrzy, your green one also made a positive impression. Good choice!

Green and pastel scarves:

La Vie du Grand Nord
Under the Waves
I can't remember the name of this one but it's a recent 140 cm summer silk. Any help with the name is greatly appreciated! :flowers:
Pursecrzy, I can't see the design clearly, but if the 140 summer silk is the one which looks like funhouse mirror images of buildings, then it's Les Ateliers. I was gushing over it, but didn't commit in the end.

The Art of Temari is very interesting, eagle -- check it out here:

And here: www.temari.com
The Hermes scarf is L'Art du Temari by Nathalie Vialars.

I love, love, love the top two. Very much like #4. Not feelin' the love for the gray top but the Neige d'Antan itself is a beauty. I hope it was all right to say this.

Sure, no problem for me, eagle -- the top is actually a pale greeny-grey called "vetiver" that I photographed this winter & was too lazy to update and re-shoot for spring. Maybe next week for "One Scarf, Two (or more) Tops" Week...

Pastel pink Les Parisiennes with Azur Clic Clac. Love the tres chic ladies (and gents) going about their day. I wish I had bought the black cw too!

ETA: apologies for the sideways pic. I am constantly amazed how you all get such fab mod shots!
