I was thinking about the availability of Harris tweed when all this discussion of Scotland came up.

A hacking jacket, a classic style, would look great in that Harris tweed. And some suede or velvet accessories. . . What a great fabric to have for a jacket project!
Great Scot has some interesting jacket designs to emulate with tweed if you have some lying around.Take a look- some designs are a cross between Victorian riding and modern. I don't like their buttons however. They would look great with a scarf done jabot style. I am learning to dressmake and found 10m of Borders tweed really cheap so have put it aside until my skills have improved then I am going to copy one of their suits. I did also cheat in the meantime and buy a Harris tweed cape to bide me over!

ABQ, sorry to disappoint you, that's one I didn't buy bc I dislike it.
Pegase, twin, so sophisticated on you, but why do you hide the flamingo?

Thank You Croisette! we are also twins on the other cw of "Flamingo Party" :p
I wasn't really trying to hide the flamingo... there is just so much to show on that scarf...
I am particularly fond of your "Fleur d ' Ecosses" Plisse look!
