I enjoy wearing Hermes scarves because they can pull all kinds of colors together...who would
have thought turquoise pants, navy jacket and yellow bag, with a predominately red scarf?? But Rubans
ties it all together (no pun haha)
Pure class!

Starbucks run during work....
My other Ledoux. (But this one is such a favorite, I have it in two formats.)
Cosmos mousse gavroche tied a couple of different ways. I think one is a chou chou and the other is MaiTai's flower knot. I wore the flower for awhile then switched over to the chou chou to see how it looked.

PS A very fine selection of traditional Scottish jewellery there, especially the Luckenbooth designs. I only have one very old Scottish agate brooch, from around the 1870s, but it would sit well next to your fleurs d'écosse!!![]()
Bonjour Dear Scafies!
I am late, again, but I could not let "Flower week" un - posted since flowers (well more plants, actually) are my post favorite motives on clothing! Please allow me one more late posting...
Silky hugs to all!

I agree! Thank you Croisette!Croisette, you're collection of scarves is enviable even for a museum [emoji14]s:
I learn so much from you too, most of these I would never know from the makes. I have even taken note of a couple for my new HG list. Wedgwood is TDF!!!

I haven't been to any of the shows up north. Maybe I should - they sound very interesting. There are some jewellers in Edinburgh who occasionally have them in but they don't stay in the window for long. I have a penchant for most Victorian jewellery except the items made from hair. I would love to see your Scottish scarves! [emoji4]
Thank you purplepoodles. Please don't rush! Charity shops, in my opinion, are not worth looking at anymore for anything vintage. They all employ dealers with a trained eye to sift through for anything of value which then goes to auction. Then the employees take the cream - I know this for fact! I did find a double string of cultured pearls ten years ago but that was my last good find and it was only because they were marked costume that they were still there... they cost me £10!!! So far I have paid full whack for 4 out of my 5 scarves but I realise I may need to temper this as my love grows. 😊😊 Maybe I need to turn to the auction houses (and if I am being outbid I will say, "oh hello purplepoodles"!! 😂Have you seen the BBC antique hunt/ auction show. A pair of dealers compete to find items in antique shops then sell at auction. There was a Scottish segment maybe you last year or his year. The little Scottish Antiques shops looked very interesting too but you would have to hunt & do a lot of driving. Frankly the auction house might be a better bet. Think you are more lightly to find H in shops or shows than the auctions though. We went to some charity shops and antique shops in Glasgow & Edinburg anything with a name was high. Rural might be better. Got the feeling dealers save stuff for shows or preferred customers.
Delighted to post my Scottish scarves in a bit Pautinka. Yes I have a few but BIL is also a collector & I'm passing some of them on to him in Scotland. Hopefully I can find pix. Will be super busy for a while with limited internet access.
