Love your black Axis Mundi.

Great flowers , Croisette the first pink one is especially lovely.

That's such a great mousseline, is it based on a photograph?

Looking cool at the Barbican!

You've taken to mousselines so well , your red one is terrific esp with the great T shirt. However hard I try I can't make this format look cool ….

Stunning on you Bova

No, it's not based on a photograph. It's a very recent acquisition.

Hello TPFers, I'd like to introduce myself as a new scarfie on this fabulous board. It is 8th of May at my end of the world so please allow me to join in this week's theme. Today I'm wearing my most recent purchase, Jungle Love Tatouage in orange.

Please excuse my untidy knotting. I saw some here that has done a neat triangular knot. How do you do that? Can kind scarfies here please give me some tips on how I can do that knot?

And on to the flowers...

I love this sloth :)

Wonderful tying! It looks great on you- so bright and fresh! And welcome!

Thank, you lanit. I've never seen a mousse on you in one of your lovely photos that I didn't immediately covet desperately. Thanks for being such an inspiration!

+100 Azalie, you and me both! Every time I see a pic of Lanit in a mousse, I'm like well, can my wish list stand one more? :p

On last weeks theme, another Legende Kuna Peuple de Panama.

I want to share some thoughts on this scarf. I am a newbie in the silk world. This scarf was in my top 5 most desired. When it came, it surprised me. It is pink, purple, and blue, so how could it be any better?

Well first of all, the blue is much more neon that it appears in any pic I have seen or is captured in my pic. It is not pastel. Second, the contrast border is MUCH more challenging than I expected. My tying skills are non existent, but I did figure out how to display the part I love (the pink square) by positioning it off center and hiding the challenging border inside my top. But needless to say, I am looking forward to the October 2 theme "HIDE THAT BORDER: knots that hide borders and/or emphasize scarf centers".

Thanks for letting me share. I would have like to have known the challenges of this color way before buying, so maybe this info will help someone else.

I think the soft yellow border is lovely! But I also love how you styled it to cover it as well. I think the trick with the border is to pick one or two of the other colors in the scarf as your main outfit, then the yellow border can show but remains an accent rather than getting first billing.

Happy Mother's Day, all!

There are so many fabulous H scarves with flowers, so I'll go with one with "FLEURS" right on the marquee, Fleurs d'Indiennes.

But I thought I'd combine being on theme with being on tangent, and try to add a visual aid (inspired by MrsWasik) about the triangle:

Paper strip example
Loose knot
Tighter knot
On!

[Bushbaby postscript]

And, Mrs W, I think what have on your Jungle Love Tatouage, rather than a sloth, may be a critter that can go mano-a-mano with Mr. Sloth for sheer cuteness: a bushbaby or galago -- thanks for featuring him! (Her?)

Such lovely colors in this Azalie! And a great tut! (Those little bush babies are adorable....)
