Always so lovely on you, bunny!

Sorry mistikat. I just wanted to respond to someone else's request. For penance, here is the faux Asian scarf which I am wearing today. This version does not have the Carolina opera printed on it so I believe it is the original issue.

What a beauty, perfumegirl!

My SOTD is the special edition Le Monde este Vaste - somewhere on this brightly colored map must be Japan?

My feeling is that the thread welcomes people to post what you are wearing for the day, days, or past few days, etc. whether on theme or no. Some people can't post everyday but want to share their silks and outfits. I like seeing the scarves flat and worn, and I try to do that so people get a chance to see scarves in action.

Misti is just letting people know there are other threads to handle off topic discussions like storage and I think there is a topic for knot tying etc. From my recollection, this thread was originated by the lovely Rose back before I was a member (2007)! Let's keep this positive and everyone is very kind and supportive.

lanit, I love your Le Monde, the colours are fantastic!

This is what I wore today, a real Grail for me.
I've had it in wraps for a year a , but today I broke it out for a visit to a fabulous exhibition on Buddhism at the Wellcome Institute .
I'm in love with my grey teddy bear coat and discovered that the shawl was perfect with it .

L'Instruction du Roy CSGM designed by Henri d'Origny

Twins on that, frou frou! Congrats!

My SOTD: CSGM Ex Libris en Kimonos (on theme!) with cotton cardigan from Gap.
Do you like it better tucked in or hanging out?

So chic on you, my dear moma!

I'm wearing ELeK again, and am amazed that Croisette may not have this CW [emoji3] [emoji2][emoji2]View attachment 3278701 Is this possible, dear Croisette? Yours are amazing!!!!!

Thank you, moma! Yes, it's possible, I miss this one, but enjoy yours!:smile1:

Another Ex Libris en Kimonos , twins with a couple of you , ABQ2ATL has recently found one ,yay!
It was the one for me with the red accents on the border, jade hem,and cobalt .

So chic, frou frou! Which cw is it, please?

This scarf is not what I am wearing today, but it is well on theme of this week: Daimyo Princes du Soleil Levant. Pictures from long-ago-archive! I think this color way of Daimo has not been posted yet.

Pirula, frou frou, Pocketbook Pup - I am glad you appreciate the link!

Beautiful colours and modpic, Holsby!

Yes, that was our very first thread and as the only original contributer to that thread who is still posting today, I am very saddened and I'll leave it at that.

It's such a good shawl on you ,Momasaurus
I like it worn like this best ,that's how I wear mine in warmer months or out in the evening.

Some shawls matching the weekly theme

They are all beautiful.
My eye is drawn to Esprit Ainou because of the contrasts and fascinating picture panels on the swirly background [it is by the Turandot designer isn't it?]

Ex Libris en kimonos. Happy Friday everyone.

Thank you to everyone for L'Instruction du R & ELen K comments.
Croisette, Pirula, EternalLove FB, Lanit, TextileGirl, Scarf1,HCLV,PocketbookPup, JRT girl, sure I've missed someone so thank you too!

Bunny you wear your twillies with such Elan. Very envious of that lovely swan neck of yours dear.

Lovely, my CI twilly sister!

Great colorway!

That purple is wonderful.

Now I know why I can't find a Turandot at a reasonable price...because everyone on TPF has it and the supply is severely depleted! LOL

This is one of my fave colorways of this design. Ahhhh one day...

Pretty, PocketbookPup!

Always so lovely on you, bunny!

What a beauty, perfumegirl!

Thank you so kindly lanit, BJS and Croisette!

Sharing an archive pic of a Daimyo mousseline. I wish this one had loved me in equal measure but I don't get along with mint green in copious quantities ;)

I hear you on mint green Textile Girl it does nothing for me too and I can understand why you reluctantly let go of this beautiful thistledown Daimyou .

Art des Steppes CSGM

It's an exceptional piece, the colour is something I dream about!
I love seeing the older designs being worn , who would have known about this if you hadn't posted it?

Yes, that was our very first thread and as the only original contributer to that thread who is still posting today, I am very saddened and I'll leave it at that.

Those CSGMs of yours are all beautiful Seton and your pairing are inspirational, love the way you wear that Evelyne !

Hi everyone. I think the latest kerfuffle has gone away, but it made me realize that not everyone may know about "subscribing to threads" (under thread tools at the top of the page).

I don't know how many people have been "scarf mistress" over the years (I did a year about a century ago) but we love this thread, and I love all the new people. This is my "home base" among 1000s of threads on this site. Thanks be to the hard-working mods!! (Please bear with me for just this post, and then I am working on today's photo).

Here are some subscribed threads I have collected:

My questions to anyone:
Is there a JUST scarf chat?
Also, is there a JUST fake scarves thread?

Personally, I am not into bags can’t afford it) so I only want to read about scarves...

Wonderful, Jahna!
Something happened to the storage link I posted, so we needed this!

I really like being helpful to our Silky friends by posting links rather than just saying "do a search." I am totally fine with this post, so if anyone questions whether it's appropriate, please PM Mistikat.

Please mark Jahna's post for reference and don't start an off-topic discussion about these threads. And for everyone's sanity, please try to thank Jahna via this edited post rather than quoting her list over and over!

Thanks!!

Jahna- thank you for those links.

Perhaps we could have a set of useful links added to the first post of the SOTD thread for ease of reference. As a person who spends A LOT of time in search mode on TPF I can tell you information is not easy to find and entails endless jiggering with keywords, and so I agree with ABQ it's not always helpful to just tell someone to go search for scarf info.

In a popular jewelry forum I am a member of, there was a sticky at the top of the page main with a useful links thread, so maybe as Misticat suggested, there's a way to combine scarf related topics under a section to make things a little easier to find? I'd be on board with that if there's a poll...

I don't want to beat a dead horse, but it seems Hermes scarf talk and topics has grown a lot since its inception years ago, and maybe some improved organization is needed?

You guys are the most super friendly bunch, and I love sharing my scarf love here every week even if it's just for a little while.

Ex Libris en kimonos. Happy Friday everyone.
