Absolutely gorgeous Orchard! Is the hot pink mousse Amours?
Honeylocks, you're right that the first set of 20 pictures are all from Au Fil de Carres. Annie used parts of many scarves to make this one, hence a lot of monkeys. The guessing game is whether you can recognize the scarves by their monkeys!
If you can't recognize the monkeys from AFDC, I've also supplied most of the monkeys from actual scarves (they're a little different from the AFDC version.) Several TPFers have sent in the monkeys from their scarves, so I've identified those in the list. Still some to go!
Let's see if I can figure out your answers, Honeylocks -- you didn't use the numbers, so I might have to guess a little:
1. Au Fil de Carre
2. Terres Precieuses
3. ?
4. Libres Comme l'Air
5. Au fil da la soie (the one with the camels)
6. Aux Pays des Epices
7. Mare Nostrum
8. Art de Steppes
9. Voyage en Etoffes
10.
11. Rivieres de Babel
12. Alliances du Monde
13.
14. Danse de Cheval Mawari
15. Jardins d'Hiver
16. La Charmante aux Animaux
17.Gardiens des Arbres
18.
19. Sur un tapis volant
20.Sur un tapis volant
How terribly chic! I like this on you so much because it's young , fresh and uncomplicated , a look I pursue myself trying to put back the clock LOL
I met up with an H friend yesterday ,she has a great eye and encouraged me to take a shawl in a design I'd hitherto decided wasn't for me.I struggled to decide which colour way to opt for and I think you will approve of my choice ..
Lanithas a point when she said that some designs work better in 140 format !
I have to be out today but hope I'll be able to share on Thursday .
And it's a colour you haven't seen me wear much before , so exciting!!!
Thank you froufrou. This thread moves so quickly, I'm sure I missed a lot today,
For bostonjetset, I'm posting this bandana that I bought today to match my colvert bag, I also bought a millefleurs twilly. That's it. A 90 cm or two were interesting but the selection overall was poor. I want to see more before I decide. There were no 140 silks, hardly any 70s and two waves moussies but not my color. How did you do at your store?

Enjoying our amazing weather with lunch by the bay...
Oops ... Just realized care tag was showing through!
La Charmante aux animaux mousseline stole in simple French knot
And another ; Kimonos et Inros was probably the most lovely scarf I have ever handled .
However for me lovely and beautiful doesn't equal fun to wear and so I let it go .
I love seeing how different designs tie, so thank you for humouring my request .
I went back to the archives for these photos, all of the Annie Faivre silks have been rehomed .
Looking today I wonder why I didn't keep them for the pleasure of them as art form .
Here are Les Legendes de L'Arbre and Ballets Russes
Thank you scarf1!Very cute monkey. Love that green.
So pretty scarf1!Enjoying our amazing weather with lunch by the bay...

Thank you froufrouLovely green on you Bova and a rarity , I've never come across that one , love it .
I usually do the same with my scarf being a pop of color...but I am liking the idea of an option of B and W for a change of pacei am really of no help as The only remotely neutral scarf I own is the blue/ white/ taupe jardin de Leila.
I love my scarves to be pops of color and pattern.
Please check out the fall 2015 thread as TT and the Zenobie are from that season.
Looking forward to seeing what you choose!
It's the most beautiful mousseline I've ever seen, I tried it on and sadly passed on it .
Of course you look amazing in it ,that blue is your colour dear Eternal Love fb
Like BR in green very much indeed.
How elegant are these so restrained but so cool A Faivres .Both really special.
Ohthe pink Amours is incredible!
Lovely green on you Bova and a rarity , I've never come across that one , love it .
So beautiful , you are lucky to have found this!

Happy New Year, ABQ! Let me know if you need a clearer shot of the Babel monkey.
I was on a roll this new year and made many lanterns for family and friends. Best wishes to everyone and here's hoping that I can contribute more to this forum (grow, money tree, grow!)
And to remain on-topic, my SOTD today is MP. The SA assured me that this cw was very Chinese New Year red. She was preaching to the converted of course

These are all gorgeous and really do pose a dilemma. The Zenobie I have seen IRL and the TT, but never seen the CI in black and white - WOW. For me I would have to play with them all and decide based on the scale of the design, maybe the exact shade of white (but you don't have white hair, so not the same problem), and where things fall when tied. Wish I could go shopping with you!Ok my dear SOTD friends...since we are on AF week, I have a small dilemna for you to considerBased on some enabling by MYH, and her recent post about owning a black and white scarf, Momasaurus's recent enabling pictures on this thread, and my love for my new black and white Ombre des Boulevards CSGM, I would love any opinions on the two I am considering, one of which is a AF design. First is Zenobie Reine de Palmyre, and second is Collections Imperiales. I am also considering Tyger Tyger in the B and W, but I do already own that design in a different CW. Perhaps one of you lovely contributors owns one of the above mentioned scarves? I have included the links to the online site for viewing.
Thank you in advance for your advice!!

I tried to find photos of these CW's in the Spring 2016, but no luck![]()

This is great info. Thanks for sharing your experience and thoughtful comments!!Bova, just dropped in and saw that you were considering a b/w scarf. If I may add my two cents (particularly since I love bw and have multiple scarves and shawls), between Tyger, Zenobie, and CI, I would pick Zenobie. It has a fun artsy vibe and is more consistent bw across the scarf. I think maybe chloesam posted pics?
I have Tyger in the csgm and am contemplating a matching 90. I don't love it more than some others on my wish list to pull the trigger yet.
I would not pick CI. It is heavily black w some white as opposed to primarily white w some black. This is a design I think better done in color to match the intent of the cloisonné look. Also my pink CI is very stiff and I suspect the bw one is even stiffer so tough to get a nice drape out of the box. I have not used mine enough for it to soften.
I noticed you mentioned that myh has a CSMC in bw. Me too! And I love it. I got mine I want to say in 2011 or 2012 from the philly store when they were celebrating an arts festival. If you really liked that specific design, you might try calling them to see if they still have old stock. With Hermes, you never know! Short of that I have seen the bw in the resale market recently but for very high prices. W the CSMC though, I have not worn it with anything but black, white/creams, dark dark blue, and brown as I don't think it looks that great with some colors IRL.
A few others that I have and can recommend include les courses, which tangotosca also has and is actually one of the scarves printed on CSMC; jardin Leila, which is still online but may be too floral if you are gunning for a CSMC look; chasse en indie which has some gray and pink; and Pegase D'hermes which is slightly brown/black and white. Sorry for being long winded but hth!

Thanks bunnycat, I'm trying to include my little monkey friend in the pics this week lol!!Lovely Bova! And I love how your little monkey statue photo bombed in the back!![]()
Thank you so much perfumegirl, it is so great to get your input, I do hope to try and see at least two of these IRL very soon. Will keep you posted, and remember no answer is ever too long winded!Bova, just dropped in and saw that you were considering a b/w scarf. Yes you are quite the enabler MYH! Thank you so much for your input, I hope I can see these IRL this week and will update on what I decide. I really value everyone's opinion!Hi Bova! Sorry or maybe not? To hear I enabled you to buy more scarves. I also heard from PbP in the past that I have also cost her a bundle. :lolots: ok, for a b&w scarf, I like collection imperiales from your two choices. I think Zenobie's border on the model looks a bit too dark and strong for my taste in comparison to the middle of the scarf.
Thank you so much Pirula, I have the same concern about Collections, but I will have to see it IRL. I wish I lived a bit closer to Boston, but I will make the trip, weather permitting, this week or weekend! I wish I could find Cheval like MYH has, but alas it is too much on the resale market!Bova (redux): I agree with Perfumegirl on Zenobie. To me, the black Collections looks too dark and heavy. The Zenobie is very pretty. I'd give it equal position with the B&W Tyger, which is also fabulous and I think could let you play with a mostly black look and a mostly white look if you wanted. But I have to admit, of all your potential choices, I like the Cheval sur mon Carre the best for you. Something about the scale and the division of the black and the white makes me think it would be by far the best looking on you. Probably not worth spending way over retail for however, so I vote for Zenobie!
Apologize if I missed anyone! :shame:
Oh, how I wish you could come shopping with me too momasaurus! Thank you so much for your thoughts...to be continued! These are all gorgeous and really do pose a dilemma. yesOh, the monkey on the camel is my favorite! Which scarf is this? Au fil de la Soie?
STUNNING! The Promenade especially took my breath away with the blues, reds and pinks my dear Croisette [emoji173]️[emoji173]️
Both beautiful, but the moussie! Gorgeous!!!
Very cute monkey. Love that green.
Wow! Love that CdC !

Looks great on your Kelly!
Beautiful colors ABQ!
Gorgeous moma!
Stunning Amours!
Lovely Bova! And I love how your little monkey statue photo bombed in the back!
Gorgeous Croisette!
Croisette you pick the best cws. Reminds me that I do have a lone(ly) Annie faivre scarf in my collection - la promenade.
Croisette, there are 3 wolves on Ombres et Lumieres -- one on each side of the scarf (but not on the side with the monkey in the palm tree). You can just see their heads. I found them in a picture when I was looking for a monkey!
Oh yes, thank you, ABQ2ATL!
