Thank you so much Pirula, I have the same concern about Collections, but I will have to see it IRL. I wish I lived a bit closer to Boston, but I will make the trip, weather permitting, this week or weekend! I wish I could find Cheval like MYH has, but alas it is too much on the resale market!

Bova Cheval sur Mon Carré happens to be one of my all time faves so I would pay up for that .It may not be your thing though , it's quite a masculine design . the For the two designs you mentioned it really will be a case of your immediate take on seeing them on yourself .They are so different one will probably be much better on you than the other. How many times have I been stuck on a scarf only to find it doesn't suit me .
And if in doubt, sit it out, there are always new and ever more desirable options in the H pipeline .
Frou frou, I always like your posts, but these two especially. I like how you paired the scarves with your clothing, I like the "vintage"-vibe the photos somehow have (specs on atique mirror?) and I like how it shows your development of preferences/taste. I understand why you got them and why you released them. Isn't it nice how scarves can share time with us and then be released and make somebody else happy?
And we are twins - on that Ixus ;)

Ixus, which scarf is that? I had to google it:laugh: It's a DH cast off , he's always buying newer cameras and lenses.Ammunition should he ever dare to remark on my scarf consumption!
Thank you for your very insightful comment .It is amazing how we move through aesthetic ideas and wonderful to know that such beautiful silks are being given the true love they deserve.
I seems that for every scarf or shawl I buy another doesn't work out.
I need to be ruthless and rehome some , so many languishing pieces are making me feel so guilty when I acquire one more :graucho:

Thank you froufrou. This thread moves so quickly, I'm sure I missed a lot today,

For bostonjetset, I'm posting this bandana that I bought today to match my colvert bag, I also bought a millefleurs twilly. That's it. A 90 cm or two were interesting but the selection overall was poor. I want to see more before I decide. There were no 140 silks, hardly any 70s and two waves moussies but not my color. How did you do at your store?

Colvert, of course! Looks great on you!

Happy New Year, ABQ! Let me know if you need a clearer shot of the Babel monkey.

I was on a roll this new year and made many lanterns for family and friends. Best wishes to everyone and here's hoping that I can contribute more to this forum (grow, money tree, grow!)

And to remain on-topic , my SOTD today is MP. The SA assured me that this cw was very Chinese New Year red. She was preaching to the converted of course :amuse:
Very festive with the red!

How terribly chic! I like this on you so much because it's young , fresh and uncomplicated , a look I pursue myself trying to put back the clock LOL

I met up with an H friend yesterday ,she has a great eye and encouraged me to take a shawl in a design I'd hitherto decided wasn't for me.I struggled to decide which colour way to opt for and I think you will approve of my choice…..
Lanithas a point when she said that some designs work better in 140 format !
I have to be out today but hope I'll be able to share on Thursday .
And it's a colour you haven't seen me wear much before , so exciting!!!

Looking forward to your purchase... Could it be blue?

Aaaa, now I get it ! I am sorry, but I was confused about the game So I did not use the numbers because I did not get why there are two numbers of each. *shame*
Thank you for clarifying the confusion and cleaning up my answeres :smile1:
I feel like a dunce! Not being familiar with au fil du carre, I did not realize all 20pics were from that scarf, and that it is a mashup of Annie scarves!
i wondered why you had so many different AF scarves in the same CW ( double dunce!)
i thought the monkey had to be an exact match for the original design, so no wonder I could not even recognize that I had one! :roflmfao::roflmfao:

I never cared much about the bandanas, but this makes me reconsider. It looks cool and elegant at the same time and I just love the color  (

Oh, I love this one. This scarf is still on my wishlist, but the green CW seems to be sold out. There is still the darker blue and purple up on the website, but I like the green much better. Congratulations on this one! I am skeptic about the format. Does it wear well? Could you post some more action pics

I found this one at FSH last year. i actually find the stole format very easy to just throw on and go. It is less material than the GM size so lighter weight for the warmer weather. I wore the stoles more last summer than the GM. tHe GM size may be better for transitional seasons.
I will try to dig out some more mod shots.

Thank you scarf1!

So pretty scarf1!

Thank you froufrou :smile1:

I usually do the same with my scarf being a pop of color...but I am liking the idea of an option of B and W for a change of pace :D.
Thanks!

:dothewave:

Sheesh. Missed one day and WOW

Orchard and scarf1: Beautiful moussies!

Bova: You look fabulous in green! Just lovely. I really need to give green a chance.

Pocketbook Pup: the bandana is adorable! Love it! And you're right, it's perfectly Covert! Bandanas are a look I've always thought adorable on other people, but not one I could pull off. You've convinced me to at least try one and see.

frou frou: I can't wait to see your new treasure! I'm so glad you had a lovely day with your friend.

Bova (redux): I agree with Perfumegirl on Zenobie. To me, the black Collections looks too dark and heavy. The Zenobie is very pretty. I'd give it equal position with the B&W Tyger, which is also fabulous and I think could let you play with a mostly black look and a mostly white look if you wanted. But I have to admit, of all your potential choices, I like the Cheval sur mon Carre the best for you. Something about the scale and the division of the black and the white makes me think it would be by far the best looking on you. Probably not worth spending way over retail for however, so I vote for Zenobie!

Apologize if I missed anyone! :shame:

Thank you, eternal!

scarf, thank you! Beautiful moussie stole!

Thank you, dear bunny!

Many thanks, perfumegirl! Please show your Promenade!

Oh yes, thank you, ABQ2ATL!
Thanks for all the kind comments on my moussie!

Sage advice indeed froufrou, I can sometimes get so caught up in a search/obsession with something that I lose sight of the big picture, and that there will always be another H design that will speak to me. Still waiting for your reveal from your H shopping :graucho:

So these are the only ones we're missing...does anyone recognize these monkeys? I honestly don't know myself!
Yes, they're all on Au Fil de Carres, but on what AF scarf did each one orginally appear?
If you have a scarf with one or more, please show us!

3. might be from Recontre Ocean -- he's in the top of a column and there are fish around him.

10. could be a riff on Licornes, with the monkey on the horse's forehead instead of nose

13. a similar pose to monkey 16... was there more than one on Charmante Aux Animaux?

14. monkey on his hands, balancing on a ball... I swear I've seen this one, but I don't know where.
Now that I understand your quiz. Pic 3 looks like a bit of rencontre oceane, although the monkey is different in the original.

From what I can tell au fil du carre was released in 2011, but the licorne scarf in 2013? So not sure about #10.

Bova123 and Pocketbook Pup...Both of your side-tied scarves are superb in their simplicity. That look is timeless. It can be insouciant or severe, preppy or prim. It's the look that my DW had when we first met and for years thereafter. She revisits it from time to time, but has fallen victim to the ease of the ubiquitous infinity scarf for the 1st grade classroom. Oh well...:shucks:

Keep it up, ladies...!

Today, its Circus...an "oldie" which is soft, well-worn and not often in the "rotation".

Thank you for the best compliment I could ask to receive John! The colorway of your Circus is really gorgeous...I would love this design, but cannot find a CW that works for me...but if I could find this one, or the one pocketbook pup has...maybe someday... ;)
