Splendid, Kyokei!

Hello twin!

Both are pretty on you, Seton!

Thank you!!

What a fun week! I love seeing the variety of go-to knots people have. It's very easy to see from the pics that people choose things that work quickly and easily for them, but also that suits their innate styling.

My own go-to knots and ties vary according to format. I tend to like to merge the boundaries a little between jewelry and scarves. For me, twillies are one of the most perfect formats for this and so I use rings and cadenas to make that blend. The first is my newest love the Collections Imeriales twilly in pink, green and beige plus a couple of archive pics of other twillies with rings and cadenas. I think the second one is Mors et Jouets and the third is Bouclerie d'Attelage.

This has motivated me to check out the twillys a little more closely next time. Love all of these knots.

One of my go-to knots is the asymmetrical tie. I recently got one of MaiTai's tiny scarf rings and I was able to do this tie on a gavroche! Who knew? It's so small it works well on a 70 also, so I played around a bit. Asymmetrical tie with 90 (Cavaliers du Caucase), 70 (J'aime mon carré), and gavroche (ZP):

I can never get this knot to look right! It looks wonderful on you.

My belated birthday wishes to you, dear Pirula!
Thank you for sharing your knotting parade, my favourit on you is the pink Manufacture!

:ty::partyhat: You are actually early dear Croisette! Birthday is this coming Saturday!

Seton, Love love love the knots and the white EL! Thank you for your kind compliment on the Parures. It was tough to choose a colorway but the green purple stole my heart as well as the price as it was found at the Paris sales for me:graucho:

Boston, you rock this silk and graphic! Clapping, bravo!

Thank you sweet Lanit!

Very nice knot and I really love this CW!

Thanks dear!

That looks great!

Thank you PBP!

Awesome seton! I am definitely trying this look this week. Does the ring stay put, or does it slip during the day I wonder?

So casual and très chic per usual bostonjetset...hope the weather was ok in Maine lol!!

Thanks Bova! Yes the weather was perfect except for an hour or so on the way back when they got snow and we didn't down here.

gorgeous way to show off the design seton!

You look super smashing as ever BJS! This knotting suits you very well!

Thank you dear Bunny! [emoji8]

Fabulous BJS ... are you famous?

Haha thanks Croisette! Not famous but I love the big, dark glasses.

Thank you bunnycat! :blushing:

Well. This is just freaking fabulous! :woohoo::loveeyes:

Why thank you dear Pirula! I love the casual elegance of a scarf worn this way. I try to switch things up once in a while though so I don't look like I'm always wearing the same thing hahaha.

My go to knot for the 90s is bias fold plus maitai scarf ring. I particularly like my mother of pearl that is dark on one side, and white on the other.
This is an archive pic, but it shows the scarf ring clearly.
Legende de poisson corail :

Gosh scarf1 that is one breathtaking carre! I am realizing that I like lines and swirls (legend kuna, L'arbe vent, one that Mai tai showed as a racetrack, others come to mind, none of which I own, sadly...)
Anyway, back to you :D yours looks really nice in this color scheme!

I am very excited for this week’s theme because I love trying out new and different knots with my scarves.

Today I took my new La Marche du Zambeze out for the first time. Like my pink Modernisme Tropical, this isn’t the type of CW I would usually go for. In fact, baby blue and yellow are two of my least favorite colors. But it matched with my Kelly so well that I had to try it on… and surprisingly loved it…. and of course it came home with me.

Naturally the day I decide to wear such a bright scarf, it snows.

Anyway, this knot is one of my favorites. I won’t buy a scarf if it doesn’t look good in this type of knot. It showcases a lot of the design whereas many of my other go to knots don’t, so I really enjoy it. And I love how the material drapes. Sadly, this knot doesn’t photograph well, but in real life it looks amazing.

My dear Kyokei I absolutely love this CW on you! The colors look like they were made for you! I am so happy you stepped out of your comfort zone and tried these amazing colors and the results are simply spectacular my dear [emoji7][emoji7]

Thank you! I am honoured to be scarf twins with you and you're making me happy that I got that strap!

This is divine! :smile1:

This is a soft pretty cw with ur colouring. :smile1:

My current fave knot is the loop with a scarf ring to the side. From my archives.

Amazing! Love your beautiful scarves too seton! Love the use of the scarf ring! You are totally inspiring me to go get one!![emoji173]️[emoji173]️

This is my most used knot by far!! Triangle fold and tied with the knot over to the side. It is super easy for 90s and 70s, shows off a good amount of the design, and can be adjusted so that the triangle is different lengths by simple folding.

This weekend driving up to Maine with Panache et Fantaisie.

Momasaurus agree. Asymmetrical tie really is so versatile. it shows both corners and parts of the center in interesting ways. Your examples are just great...love the stilettos showing on the 2nd one..is that j'aime mon carre?

Thank you all so very much!!! I l do love my twillies!

essiedub- You are right, I do tie in back for these. These guys are twillies, so no problem to tie in back doubled up wit the Mors, but a little tight with the smallest cadena. Sometimes I use the Mors ring the "normal" way with them:

"normal"
mediteranee2.jpg

but sometimes I like to increase the "necklace" look of the Mors and that's when I tie in back instead.

Looks like I need another type of scarf ring! I assume you slip on the ring, then knot behind your neck?
