My current fave knot is the loop with a scarf ring to the side. From my archives.

Awesome seton! I am definitely trying this look this week. Does the ring stay put, or does it slip during the day I wonder?

This is my most used knot by far!! Triangle fold and tied with the knot over to the side. It is super easy for 90s and 70s, shows off a good amount of the design, and can be adjusted so that the triangle is different lengths by simple folding.

This weekend driving up to Maine with Panache et Fantaisie.

So casual and très chic per usual bostonjetset...hope the weather was ok in Maine lol!!

Sometimes when the weather’s chilly
Try a knot that’s kind of frilly.
When you’re in the summer heat
Tie scarves looser, not so neat.

Thank you for your great intro, dear ABQ2ATL! All the carrés are beautiful and perfect
tied. I esp. love Amours, which I own in several cw, it's romantique.

It doesn't get much simpler than this. A cowboy knot tucked into my cardigan. Ciel Byzantine.

It's classic and would be a beauty in naturel/black CSGM esp. for you, PbP.

Lately though, I've been trying to just relax and channel our dear frou frou and be ever so insouciant. It doesn't always seem to work, but I believe that's a factor of needing to really just relax more. I think these worked:

With this one I actually did not fuss at all at all and looked after first try and thought "Yes; I believe frou frou would approve." And dashed out the door:

My belated birthday wishes to you, dear Pirula!
Thank you for sharing your knotting parade, my favourit on you is the pink Manufacture!

Thank you! I am honoured to be scarf twins with you and you're making me happy that I got that strap!

This is divine! :smile1:

This is a soft pretty cw with ur colouring. :smile1:

Really nice! Are the tied ends just hidden in back? Long hair helps?

Parures draped and tied a la Chou Chou.

lanit, so lovely, as always dear!

Sorry this is a day late but today I'm wearing my Minuit au faubourg gavroche. I tried to capture my new loop earrings too.

I never was a scarf person until lurking on this thread and viewing all the beautiful scarfs and mod shots. Thanks for all the inspiration and a little less thanks for thinning my wallet ;)

I am very excited for this week’s theme because I love trying out new and different knots with my scarves.

Today I took my new La Marche du Zambeze out for the first time. Like my pink Modernisme Tropical, this isn’t the type of CW I would usually go for. In fact, baby blue and yellow are two of my least favorite colors. But it matched with my Kelly so well that I had to try it on… and surprisingly loved it…. and of course it came home with me.

Naturally the day I decide to wear such a bright scarf, it snows.

Anyway, this knot is one of my favorites. I won’t buy a scarf if it doesn’t look good in this type of knot. It showcases a lot of the design whereas many of my other go to knots don’t, so I really enjoy it. And I love how the material drapes. Sadly, this knot doesn’t photograph well, but in real life it looks amazing.

Splendid, Kyokei!

My go to knot for the 90s is bias fold plus maitai scarf ring. I particularly like my mother of pearl that is dark on one side, and white on the other.
This is an archive pic, but it shows the scarf ring clearly.

Both are pretty on you, Seton!

What a fun week! I love seeing the variety of go-to knots people have. It's very easy to see from the pics that people choose things that work quickly and easily for them, but also that suits their innate styling.

My own go-to knots and ties vary according to format. I tend to like to merge the boundaries a little between jewelry and scarves. For me, twillies are one of the most perfect formats for this and so I use rings and cadenas to make that blend. The first is my newest love the Collections Imeriales twilly in pink, green and beige plus a couple of archive pics of other twillies with rings and cadenas. I think the second one is Mors et Jouets and the third is Bouclerie d'Attelage.

One of my go-to knots is the asymmetrical tie. I recently got one of MaiTai's tiny scarf rings and I was able to do this tie on a gavroche! Who knew? It's so small it works well on a 70 also, so I played around a bit. Asymmetrical tie with 90 (Cavaliers du Caucase), 70 (J'aime mon carré), and gavroche (ZP):

Wonderful intro and love your Amours!

Gorgeous PbP!

I think these suit you very well! Polished but not fussy is how I'd call these ties!

Gorgeous lanit!

And a fabulous scarf it is! Looks wonderful!

I've been looking forward to this week! Still have some catching up to do and then I'll post, but it's already off to a wonderful start!

Thank you bunnycat! :blushing:
