Love JA. have 2 CWs. I had not noticed that black/ white animal... Skunk? Badger?

Whatever, it is very cute.

You look great, and love the whole outfit!

I hope to find a rive gauche in the right CW for me!

Once again I copied Pirula on this one. It is quite a bright cw and a bit bold for me, but I'm getting used to it. I do think it brings out the design beautifully.

Oh dear. I'm not ready to move onto the next theme week yet. I have one more jewelry scarf to share. It's very similar to honey locks finger crochet chunky statement necklace. Mine is a braided necklace using a 140cm moussie. I've even entertained weaving a long pearl type necklace through it kind of like the pic I saw online. I might give it a try later today. Sorry for not moving onto this week's theme. I'm not ready yet.

And I liked the twisted twilly with farandole so much I used another one and wore it out to dinner last night.

This is beautiful Pirula and mistletoe is so sweet.

Thank you. Eli is 7 yrs old and weighs about 5.5 lbs. He has flown domestically but I'm afraid of the quarantine rules in other countries. He would love Paris, I'm sure.

Thanks pocketbook pup! Most countries don't have quarantines. Ashley followed me to live in India, Egypt, and Israel. No problems! We used to say she had a Kitty passport. It's usually only island nations that are tricky.

My cats are bigger than Eli!

Hello scarfies! This thread moves at lightning pace! I am so hopelessly behind, But to all of you- so much beauty!
I realize I have lots of jewel toned scarves, but not many with actual jewels!

Ok, here are a few from me:
1. Au Coeur de la vie- in jewel tones.
2. Ballet Aquatique in jewel tones, plus the flower leis are jewelry!
3. Bal masqué- lots of jewels
4. Les Paisiennes- one of a few ladies wearing jewelry.

The last 3 are all 70s - since I missed posting that week!

Scarf1 - what a delightful collection of fun and colorful scarves you shared. I would love to have every one of them!

This is absolutely stunning. You put the H in my Hero!

:smooch:

So I don't take this thread OT I have to add my 2 cents with a pic!

Tapis Persans replay - this time being worn!

EDIT: Apologies for breaking theme! :push:
This Tapis Persians is up my alley! I love the colors in it and you wear it well.

This thread is so creative , I love the new ideas springing forth especially when they enable me to wear some silks that I haven't been wearing of late .

So, a huge thank you to clever Bunnycat I'm loving your recent twist on a gavroche knot. it displays the small silk to its best IMO.
My 2 Belles de Mexique gavroches have always been my favourite in this size . This one in Mastique [ which I take as being 'putty ' …not v appealing!] is my out and out fave and most worn .
I reckon this is scarf as jewellery when knotted the Bunnycat way !
I wore this rig-out last night for dinner with friends
That is such a cute way to wear a gavroches. A scarf choker but much more comfortable in silk.

Hello scarfies! Just in the nick of time I have a jewelry scarves post, featuring two dear TPF friends, Chestnutty and Arabesques. It's a long one. :smile1:

Last week my long-time SO and I finally tied the knot, and what better occasion than to tie some scarf knots as well? I've never wanted a wedding proper, so we decided to keep it simple with a city hall ceremony in NYC. Arabesques and a friend I've known since we were 9 years old were our official witnesses.

But not just witnesses! Multi-talented, highly artistic witnesses. My childhood friend, an architect, has a gift for structuring any material she lays hands on, and surprised me with a gorgeous bouquet of her own making. Arabesques, as anyone who has seen her posts here or her blog knows, is an exceptional photographer, and she made sure I had the most beautiful pictures with which to remember the day.

My two friends' artistry was all the more remarkable considering the short notice they had: on Friday the week before last we decided to get married the following Wednesday-- no, no shotgun wielded by my father; just the complications of an international long-distance romance! On Friday I had no idea what I was going to wear, but I knew a white mousseline Au Portes du Palais I had bought might arrive just in the nick of time... but then again, it might not. I mentioned this to Chestnutty-- whose own white APdP had fueled my search for one-- and she instantly offered not only to send me her own beloved white moussie, but also her heavenly white, pale blue, and light grey Doigts de Fee-- a wedding scarf if ever there were one, with its pearls and lace motif. I demurred on her unbelievably generous offer to lend her APdP, because I knew I'd be thrilled to wear the Doigts. She raced to the post and got it on its way immediately-- outstanding scarf emergency response time! I set about choosing an outfit that would work with the Doigts and chose a white Alexander McQueen coat dress (inspired in part by a recent trip to the London exhibition of his work, with another fabulous TPF friend).

The Doigts arrived in the mail. Then the APDP landed too! And then my fiancé gave me a beautiful pair of red patent stilettos to match the Rouge Vif Kelly he gave me as a 30th birthday present years ago. The red picked up the colors in the APdP perfectly.... but I couldn't forget the feminine beauty of that Doigts, and its being a "something borrowed" from someone special. So I did what any sensible scarfie would do: I resolved to wear BOTH. :groucho:

In the morning/early afternoon, it was the APdP. And then in the evening, it was the Doigts with a pale pink and silver Sita Murt dress. The pink, pale blue, silver and grey made me feel very princess-y.

So, without further ado, two very special scarves that are both from Chestnutty whether directly or by her influence, and some photographs from the amazing Arabesques showing the evolution of the look over the day. The APdP went from tucked in to flying in the wind and then transformed into the Doigts draped to try to show as much of its pearls and lace as possible. And, just for good measure, a picture of the groom showing off his Hermes shoes but more significantly an important Hermes scarf skill: waiting in the boutique for Arabesques and me while we browsed in between visits to champagne bars!

Whew, thanks for letting me share. I'm so lucky to know so many of you around the world, and this day made me extra-grateful for that! :flowers:View attachment 3030567View attachment 3030568View attachment 3030569View attachment 3030570View attachment 3030571

Calexandre - thank you for sharing your wedding day with us! I was swooning at the mousseline you modeled with your Alex McQueen! I'm sure you were turning heads in NYC along with Arabesques. I also loved your story about Chestnutty express mailing her doigts scarf to you. That is the best part of tPF. The friendships that have formed and how we look out for each other. Congratulations on tying the knot (perfect phrase for scarfies, pun intended) and may you and DH live happily ever after! :hugs:

That's SO great!
Thanks Pirula. Glad you enjoyed it.

Oh wow! That is fabulous! Very creative.

A farandole is on my wish list. The SA in DC showed me how to use it to make my kelly longue wallet into a wallet on a chain. Plus it's a gorgeous necklace. Is yours a 120?
Mine is actually a 80cm. I'm a bit of a shorty at 5'5" so liked this length best. I also bought a farandole necklace to extend it 20cm when I want to wear it a litle longer. I felt 120 was too long for me. You will not regret a farandole. Promise!

What great examples! Bal Masque is such a fun scarf! 70s are my favorite format for versatility; they have just the right amount of silk.

SO creative! What a great look! :D

Very pretty and chic, MYH!

Wow, what a lovely gift! Love them! The Tarot is fabulous in red.

Scarf1, these are all amazing, am super jealous as I covet Ballet Aquatique ! And Au Coeur de la Vie...ok, I admit it, I want them all!! cue mad cackling laughter...

Oh that scarf looks gorgeous, so lovely to see it modelled by you. But where is Toro?

This is stunning, so elegant, so clever....
Thank you for the two love eyes guys! I'm flattered.

Bunnycat This petite mousseline is just perfect on you , I love the whole look .
I have my eye on getting some dungarees , this is look is too enabling !
Only thing stopping me from grabbing a pair is that I wore them first time round :shucks: so don't want a hit on the mutton meter ;)

How fresh and lovely you look Croisette

Congratulations, especially on the red Tarot, that's a gem.

Scarf1 As ever I love your choices , 70's are so handy and fun, my favourite size .

JETsETgo Replay as often as you can , I so love this Tapis on you .
The theme is meant to be broken :graucho:

MYH not only do you invent such lovely ways with silks, but you are always immaculate in your execution . Fabulous idea!
I am blushing at your comment on immaculate execution. This is high praise coming from you frou frou!

MYH, so clever and stylish and so well done!!
Thanks Katekluet! So glad you liked it.

thank you for sharing this wonderful story and your amazing pictures here!
Conratulations to princess-bride and sharp groom :choochoo:

You look stunning: The way you tied your gavroche, the combination of clothing, scarf and lipstick, very fresh and adorable :sunshine:

I finally can contribute to jewellery-week as well. Since it is getting too hot to wear a silk scarf I started doing scarf-necklaces. Playing around I came up with something new, nothing for the faint of heart: I made a neat bias fold and then used my fingers to crochet the scarf. Fixed at the neck with mors. See pics:
Honeylocks - this is SO awesome! I definitely need to try your finger crochet method on my mousselines. I love this look!

Good day! I received these rings (come from Vietnam) and tried on with the scarfs I have. I need more scarfs :p Thanks for looking. View attachment 3031222View attachment 3031223
Purrsey- you wear your scarves so stylishly! I love them all. I agree with you...one can never have enough scarves. We always need more!

I would love to take little Eli on one of my Paris trips but I'm too afraid to risk it. View attachment 3031679View attachment 3031680

Why? She doesn't seem to weight more than 5 kg which means that you are allowed to take her with you in the cabin (it is called "pet in cabin") so you check in with the dog and have her on the flight with you under your seat (hrmmm... well, most airlines block the seat next to you if you travel with a pet - at least they are supposed to do! -and most of the stewards won't see a dog on a seat or on your legs...) Paris might have heartworm problems, but the people over here like dogs - normally they do. Small dogs are allowed in the Metro and I never had any problems getting a taxi with my dog. In case Paris is not yours, come over to us, we love dogs. Dogs are allowed in restaurants, public transport, stores (except food stores) and there are at least 2 hughe parks where you you can walk your dog off-leash. No heartworm over here as well.. We have 2 Hermes stores over here, too ;)
A few years ago there were changes in the quarantine-section - let my ly but I'd bet for all EU countries, at least known by myself: Italy, Germany, UK (SIC!), Norway (SIC!) Sweden, France, Switzerland (SIC!). Your dog has not to be seperated if you enter from a rabies controlled country and your dogs is properly vaccinated, has a microchip and a pet passport (EU pet passport). If you come from a country with rabies, you have to hand out a medical paper with the titer, that has to measured within a certain time range before you travel abroad. That made traveling for us in Europe much easier.

Love the scarf on Eli;) looks perfect! I had to show the picture my Japanese spitz who looked at me in a " when do I get one?!" way... I love the design.

The phoenix, though mythic, rises. Maitai's viddie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqG8PLqRMJY shows all the amazing details and subtle colors. Today I'm casual with a purple top and tan cropped slacks.

Yay Momasaurus You look so va-va- voom and in your purple top plus the much desired Phoenix. What a fantastic scarf and wearer!

Ok. You know I'm one of those crazy small dog no children women. So here is Eli modeling my new rendez vous rive gauche and some of his little friends in action on the scarf. Sweetie catty , our two are hard wearing and very feisty stray variety, so no silks allowed. I think FI [ I'm not writing it all out at this time of night !}is becoming one of my favourite designs .

Wishing you every happiness! The pics were gorgeous and what a special day!

This is a gorgeous pic of your Phoenix and ur outfit. So summery.

Thanks for the travel tips everyone. I will investigate further. I think he would be a great asset at Hermes. Who could deny him a birkin especially if he wore a twilly or one of those new bow ties? He was a big hit at bendel's and bergdorfs in the past. Oh well, someday we dream of living in Paris if only for a short time. A girl and a dog can dream...

Thank you all for your kind comments! I'm in fact waiting for my 5th scarf to arrive :)
