Hoping the waters of the Aegean and the charming vistas of Mykonos will cool you all down- it was warm, but the breezes were lovely.

While waiting for our flight in Istanbul, what do I come across at the duty free H store? The most spectacular mousseline that I have coveted since it appeared on the SS2015 thread. Croisette and CherryBlossum have this design and I gave up hope our store would ever receive it. It was just as Chestnut would say - SCARF FATE!!!

Alliances du Monde - Colorway 17 - Blanc/Taupe/Gris
Ah! A little bit of vacation to places I've always wanted to see from the comfort of my desk! Thanks for the beautiful pics and the peeks at your sensational finds.

Like pocketbook pup, I was lucky enough to be able to go to the re-opening of the Boston store yesterday. My DD and I enjoyed a wonderful day together and were so happy to meet pocketbook pup! My first tPF meet! We have such lovely people on this and other threads :smile1:
My outfit as I headed out the door for the day...my purchase posts to follow LOL!!:graucho:

Lovely scarf (and love your Hapi3 too!)

Hello scarfies -

I have returned from my holiday and what an adventure it was! Our family travelled to the Mediterranean and visited some amazing sights, tasted some marvelous cuisine and enjoyed the sun, sand and views of the Aegean seas. I hope it is okay to post a few travel photos along with my H goodies. I'd love to start a travel and H thread if the good mods could let me know if another thread already exists.

I have been able to peek at some of the beautiful silks, colors and recent H silks that have been posted this past week or two. Please forgive me in my delay of thanks for the early July postings. I had so little time to pack and get the house and pet sitter in order for us to escape for our trip.

A few photos of our trip to Istanbul and the Greek Isles. Yes, it just so happened our trip coincided with the crisis taking place with the Greek economy. But after much thought, careful assessments and recommendations that tourists were quite welcome, we went ahead with our plans and it was a very enjoyable trip. Not only did we enjoy ourselves, we also were very happy to contribute to the economy in our small way.

Photos: Istanbul, Hagia Sophia, Ephesus....

That sounds like a lovely trip! Beautiful scarves and beautiful pictures! I love Turkey, one place I can go back to over and over. Greece is on my list, it's a must.

I totally support the travel thread, how amazing would be to share those experiences, inspire each other for more travel!

Thanks for sharing!

Went for dinner tonight and wore this Jardin Anglais, I think these are my colors. Thanks for letting me share!

I found the perfect silks to celebrate our visit and remarkable Byzantine architecture and art of the region.

Since we are on the subject of color this week, my views are that I used to think only certain colors worked for me, typically reds, bright and bold colors and designs. H does such a marvelous job mixing their colors that I am surprised when a color that usually would not suit me, can be a perfect foil depending upon what I am wearing the day I might try on a silk.

Case in point - Hippopolis AW 2015 - this little gem with its details reminds me not only of the region we visited, but the little figures also remind me of the H. Miyazaki animated creatures (and I love his films)!

My suitcase was so small on this trip that I had to forego the usual shawl boxes and ask the SAs to pack in the slim envelopes. So glad I did too because these silks accompanied me on my carry on Longchamp bag on board.:D

One more silk to share later! Happy scarfing!

Oh what a lovely trip. Congrats on your purchases. They are beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing these amazing pictures.

So glad you had a wonderful trip Lanit! We are sisters on Hippopolis. I just purchased CW 12 today! Love this design so much! You look stunning as always!

Hi ladies! I have been gone for a few weeks. I have missed all of your beautiful posts and will enjoy catching up. I read back a few pages but couldn't figure out our theme this week. Something about color? Anyway I think this scarf has enough color to fulfill the requirement. :)ImageUploadedByPurseForum1437881241.509692.jpgImageUploadedByPurseForum1437881258.578939.jpgImageUploadedByPurseForum1437881271.995283.jpg

What an incredible scarf! Thanks for sharing. I can't find it on the U.S. site - is from A/W 15/16?

This is fabulous! Please share how you tied it? :D
Thank you Bostonjetset! One of the SA at the Boston store had showed me this tie on my visit prior to the most recent one...I'll see if I can explain it well enough!!
Start with a cowboy knot and then when you bring the two ends forward instead of tying them you take each one and loop around the area near your neck and tie in slip knot type of knot to secure and knot the loose end. It is a little bit tricky to secure it such that the tips end up facing downward instead of poking up in your face! I hope this helps...it may take a few tries/playing with it, but I am confident in your tying skills to accomplish it!! :hugs:

Oooh, both are great choices, Bova! Love the black and white canvas for these new scarves. So glad you met-up with another H lover. It's really fun and rewarding, I think!
Thank you momasaurus...it was truly fun to meet pocketbook pup as well as simply many other really nice folks shopping that day, excited about the new store. A fun/festive environment!

Lovely scarf (and love your Hapi3 too!)
Thank you bunnycat...I am kind of obsessed with Hapi3 bracelets now...yikes!!

What a wonderful trip! Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures. The picture of the map reminds me a little of Hermes scarf Voyage de Pytheas.
