I thonk Mai Tais blog had tips on hiw to re ove care tags. Great resource from a most revered member!
Thanks for the tip. Her post was helpful to confirm that the loose thread I saw most likely was from a care tag. (I enjoy her photos of how to style scarves, too.) I ended up gently tugging on the thread and it slipped out, so I was pleased about that.

Unfortunately I snagged the scarf as I was working on it, as my hands are chapped from the cold weather, but I can tie it so the snag doesn't show. I've been reading everybody's posts on how to/whether to deal with snags and the ensuing frustration, so this was a good learning experience for me.

Glad you finally received it ! Love those drawings!
This is a CW for you, of course.....
OMG It is spectacular! I’ve always loved the painterly Belle-epoquish graphics of this scarf but had never seen this cw and it is THE most gorgeous one I’ve ever seen! What a joy to wear!
Thanks. I love J-L Clerc's designs. Paddock is charming, but I'm not into horses, so that doesn't resonate with me like this does.
 That is so beautiful, moma! However, due to the enlightenment afforded to me by this week's theme, I have to morosely conclude that I'd look like a zombie in this cw. :crybaby:
I know what you mean. I have to play with different colors - I think it would look awesome with BROWN, which I don't really have in my wardrobe, LOL. When I wear these medium-tone colors I always have to have something dark as blouse or jacket, I think.

This week has indeed been AWESOME!! We should revisit this theme every few months, I think! It's been so helpful, and we've gotten to know each other a little bit more also, which is fun.

This is the Correspondence which I never seem to reach for. I find the blue border nondescript and, if I tie it the wrong way, the pattern of little stamps makes me look like I'm wearing a granny blanket. So today, I'm hiding the border and pleating the stamps. Think I can keep this one.

I see this scarf jazzing up a navy or black suit or monochrome outfit. You could also wear it like a cravat tucked inside a white shirt (or other plain light or dark blue, red, golden beige, salmon etc) for just that hint of playful colour. Could be a really useful scarf for when you need to look very smart but individual too.

Have you tried a thin bias fold and double wrap (ties to the side if you want)? You'll still have the colour but the area will be smaller.

I’m so afraid of washing them myself! Maybe some day I will finally dare. I find that my stiffest one is the Reve d’Australie. It almost felt as if it was starched! Then I did a little research and learned that this was characteristic of many scarves of the late 90s. Do you know this to be true? I wish I had discovered PBF sooner! I kick myself everyday for not looking you up while busy with other things! Just glad I’m here now and learning so much from you and all the lovely contributors!

We love having you here

Hahaha! Here's a REAL "What Was I Thinking?" I had just gotten the BdG scarf and the colors were on my mind when I saw this silky print blouse -- I couldn't wait to get home and put them together :yucky:. Needless to say, the blouse went back to the store and the scarf got put with black and white where it cheered me up immensely. (But I do like the knot on the print top)View attachment 3893903

Imagine my surprise about the necklace and wrapping a scarf. I was messing around this morning and wore this today. It’s Cheval Phoenix wrapped around an opera length pearl necklace. View attachment 3894487
So very beautiful!!!
OK- here's my worst one. And here's my story. I make glass beads (lampwork) and perfume bottles....so of course I thought what I REALLY need is the scarf with perfume bottles on it! So I found one, but it had a green border. Of course, I was like, well, I'm fine with green, but it turns out not THIS green in particular and I knew it as soon as I got it an put it on. I keep it mainly for the darn hot pink bottle and the center but I always keep the border folded out of my sight at all times.....

Help! I love Paperolles, and I bought one in gold! Soooooo not my color to wear, but really pretty to look at. The minute I started taking pix, I realized it’s the same colors as my sitting room. So maybe it should be a pillow?

And yet, I want to wear it! So I tried it with various colors that I think do NOT work: View attachment 3893944
But I have a new cranberry cashmere top, and tried some new knots today. I think, because the gold is so (ahem) possibly old lady looking, the knot needs to be really casual. And very neutral lipstick. What do you think of these? View attachment 3893945View attachment 3893946View attachment 3893947

I'm agreeing totally. Until I saw you in the burgundy sweater I wasn't liking it on you. Once I seen with the casual/burgundy suddenly it looks great. I guess it's like me with pale pink, gotta counteract the vibe and actually go against the grain.
