The brown suggestion is brilliant...had not considered that one. I have a brown tweed sleeveless shift (not too dark) dress that might look great with this teal scarf...if I pair it with chocolate brown boots and my chocolate box K28 (worn with the strap) I might actually make this scarf work....
Thank you!
We both love you, my dear! Thanks! This is 05 parme/rose/bleu
OK!
Isn't this true sooooo often?
Aha, the Gardens? It is so pretty. Colors will suit you perfectly!
Thank you, Croisette! I hope you can still be friends with a bad girl....![]()
Oh Langsam, these are great! Thank you so much. I am definitely keeping it!! For me it will be a "springtime" scarf, both for size and colors, but it could also cheer up a winter day. Here are some looks ....
Oh that is so pretty!!
Are we still doing the “scarf fails” theme?
Here are my top 3 Twillies that don’t see much action. The orange colors just don’t suit me very well so I tie them to my saddle colored bags. Any twilly that doesn’t look great with my clothes gets tied to my bags.
I still love them, though, especially the black/rust Bolduc one. I’m working towards getting my first Hermés bag to dedicate that one to.

I think orange tends to be a little difficult to work with unless one loves Halloween??????
I thought so too, but ended up with a pile of orange anyway. Didn't even realize how many I had till we did orange week in October. Apart from some wariness regarding the sheer boldness of the colour, I found that quite a few shades of orange actually suit me. It's a happy colourI think orange tends to be a little difficult to work with unless one loves Halloween??????
I thonk Mai Tais blog had tips on hiw to re ove care tags. Great resource from a most revered member!Let me know if there's a better thread for this question: I bought a scarf secondhand and it already had the care tag removed. There is a little thread sticking out of the corner that I suspect is from the care tag. I can easily tie the scarf to hide this corner, but for my own satisfaction, I'd prefer to pull out that thread. I looked around for tips but most have to do with adjusting pulls in scarfs. Any suggestions on loose thread removal at the corner of a scarf? I'm afraid to tug very hard.
I know all about falling back in love with a scarf when taking pictures to list it, LOL. So, good for you that you were abl to find your problem child a new home. As I mentioned, I bought a blue Soiree de Gala a month ago and was stuck in limbo (US postal service fail) until today. I know the border is comically wide, but I'm going to make this scarf work! The design is soooo fabulous. It's my dream life.Well dearest silkies, after all that, and all your help, and the good solutions that we found for making it work better, I have sold my Soirée.
Please don’t think me ungrateful. It just made me realize that like a bad boyfriend she was way more trouble than she’s worth and it’s not love. And as I think you will all agree, it really should be love for these babies and enjoyable, not a chore.
A friend with warmer coloring than mine fell in love with it. So it’s going to a good, healthy and more fulfilling relationship where she will see the light of day much more often and be able to shine.
I admit to second thoughts as I was taking detailed pics for my friend. But I’ll be okay. It’s not me, it’s you and I will not always regret you.
So, done.
Am I the first to actually part ways this week?
