Speaking of Scotland, I had to join in as I'm a "Mc" IRL. (There are feathers on the hats, btw.)Loved your post, Pautinka! I have a Fleurs d'Ecosse in green & orange, I think. ...
Question about cairngorms: sometimes I see these as very orangey (like burnt orange) citrines and sometimes (less often) they are smoky quartz. I am not sure I like the orangey color with the muted agates (maybe I've just seen mediocre examples). Which is the "authentic" color, or are both used? ...

Lol indeed i pulled them all out today, put on our king size bed and started taking pics, my DH was going back and forth throwing looks at me, when the bed was fully covered by scarves and boxes, he nervously asked me - are you going to sell them???You are so good at finding these details! I imagine your scarves all spread out around you, and you reading each one like a book. I need to slow down and do some of that!!
elementaryHonestly!!! Are you a detective or something? LOL. Scientist?
Thank you so much, lanit! I also found an article about the scarf; it was a special edition that KO did for the King Ranch as a fundraiser, and very few were issued. Your colorway is especially lovely, and so suited to you!You are most welcome, this is only a few years old and has a lot of birds on the border Elaine. This particular pink one was for the Dallas store reopening. I think you would enjoy wearing this silk! I will post it as soon as light is better. Here is a link to the original post when I first received it in the meantime.

That's very funny... I can just imaging my DH reacting the same way!!!Lol indeed i pulled them all out today, put on our king size bed and started taking pics, my DH was going back and forth throwing looks at me, when the bed was fully covered by scarves and boxes, he nervously asked me - are you going to sell them???![]()
I am giggling here....I lack the swan neck also. And I am built like a Russian babooshka!I suppose the cowboy knot is the solution? But I am, alas, no long-necked swan so this is not a look I can pull off (I look like a small European peasant wearing a colorful silk bib).![]()
Feathers galore on La Clé des Champs... plus a fabulous jacquard pattern!

My only challenge with this scarf is that I can never manage to tie it so that an entire bird shows up... let alone a meadow-ful of them. I get a beak here, a few tail feathers there, but never the complete picture.

@ElainePG I agree with moma's suggestion. You may also secure your carré with a mors ring or by tying the tips in a small knot.Haha. What about just a bias fold draped around your neck? MaiTai does this all the time.
Wow, what a gorgeous plissé! You look great here, Croisette - as usual!Pautinka, I love your sentimental story and congrats on your HG!
We are sisters on this very special piece. I have both, one 90 and a plissé.
