Thank you dear ABQ2ATL, I hope you don't mind if I start by posting my SOTD for this week's theme. It isn't a rooster, but is a beautiful winged creature, the Zebra Pegasus. An Alice Shirley design, this is colorway 11. It was my first silk 90, made even more special because it was a gift from my sweet husband. What drew me to this design, other than the beauty of the scarf, was the video that was posted by Hermes in La Maison des Carres. It features a precious zebra, whose one wish is to be able to fly.

Thank you so much for posting the video, smallfry! I'd seen the one for her Dans un Jardin Anglais (and promptly went out & bought the scarf!) but never the ZP video. I suppose if I had, I'd be the owner of a ZP scarf... yes? :cool:

Sisters on this one, but I've never seen the yellow & blue colorway before. It is so happy and cheerful! Looks great on you.

LOL - Ha, ha - I love your comment on Henri de Linares. As birdwatcher & wildlife enthusiast I am always a bit horrified about the dead animals & birds he used as his themes. However, one always needs to view these things in context - Linares designed at a time (1904 -1987) when views of wildlife were quite different, and hunting was a common activity for gentlemen,etc.
I even remember when I was visiting Ranthambore National Park in India in 2003 to spot tigers that the lodge had a picture of Queen Elizabeth from the 1950's (or even earlier) that showed her & her party posing with 8 dead tigers from a hunt and I was shocked.......
