...But the leafy sea dragon IS on topic... this little critter can be found in the middle of the bottom on Under the Waves. It is more commonly found in S. Australia (e.g. waters off Melbourne & at the Melbourne aquarium), but DH was lucky enough to see one diving on the Great Barrier Reef around Lady Elliot Island (which is consistent with the theme of UtW - from Histoires de Carres "Alice Shirley pays tribute to the Great Barrier Reef"). I bought this scarf in part because of the wonderful leafy sea dragon in the pattern....View attachment 3580396 View attachment 3580397 View attachment 3580399
This is a fabulous colorway of UtW, shrpthorn. I wonder if anyone has done a thread identifying all the amazing sea creatures on this scarf? (Not that I'm volunteering to put up such a thread, but I'd definitely be fascinated to read it!)

Simple gorgeous Croisette!

Love it! Fab with your shirt!

Moma- scarves and stripes forever!!! Love!!!

Fantastic Festus!

Popping in real quick to say hi on the way to the hairdresser to get a much needed haircut....

C'est la Fete from this year's mens department release, with Mors ring in back to give it some length. The promised Mors tuts for this and the one earlier this week are over here in the Ref Lib How to Tie your Scarf thread:

Thank you bunnycat! The ClF is fab in pink, twinsie!

I can hear the hoofbeats! Wonderful carré, dear croisette.
I hear them too, haha.

Ohhhhhhh... that's the exact scarf I've been yearning for, croisette! DH and I just read War & Peace over the holidays, and the book put me in the mood for the troika zipping along the snowy streets of Moscow on this carré.:heart::heart:
You need one, Elaine, it's so beautiful.

View attachment 3579909 Well thanks to pudfish I can recall this format. It's the men's Losange . It is so easy to wear; shaped like an elongated diamond, with length like a twilly but with more fabric. It is much easier to tie than a gavroche as no folds are required. I think they should do more in interesting prints. This one is a simple graphic of stylized H's made to look like nautical links or that chain d'ancre scarf ring.

Dear essiedub, I am glad I reminded you about your losange as it is very lovely, very elegant and fresh looking, very Audrey Hepburn Roman Holiday. Isn't losange a funny word? I suppose it also means lozenge, which makes me think of cough sweets?? Mine was of course an eBay rescue on the cheap as I am a sort of cut-price Mother Theresa of Scarves, I expect one day I will be recognised by the Pope as St Pudfish of Hermes for my work with unwanted scarves..
