Love the idea of wearing it with a teal top, bcat! Hmmm... time to go shopping! :happydance:
Aways happy to enable my scarfie friend! :happydance:

SOTD H en Voyage 70. I'm not really drawn to ochre, but it makes a nice change from my usual preferred cws (and just like Pudfish, I am a 300-patterned-tops person :p )

Xincinsin- this is simply fabulous as a combination! It's perfect! There's just a hint of similar yellow in your top, and plenty of contrast in the scarf pattern and top pattern that it look smashing together!

Oh so wonderful scarf1!

Just read through all of last week's posts and loving all the AF designs. I had a final last week so really had no time to think about anything but studying.
But it is a new week and 70s! Love them: they are the perfect size for when I want a scarf but not TOO much scarf.
Today is H Comme Hermès.

Beautiful and bright Sickgrl!

Not really a guru (not to the standards of this forum/thread anyway) but yes I would so long as the cw worked with the rest of my outfit. I think Quintessence looks quite Christmas-y but it was actually an H Summer season scarf.

It's sometimes hard to unknow things, but if it helps why not think of it as your seasonal scarf in-season and your soft-light-blue scarf all other times of the year? Love your BV(?) necklace too with it.

I once told someone how much I liked her Mélodie Chromatique and she thanked me and told me it'd been a gift and hadn't realised it had a name (even though it is written on the scarf). Very few people know very many designs, sometimes not even the one round their own necks ;) .
Melodie Chromatique (I think of this as colored pipes) did not get much play in the U.S. It's not even showing up to speak of with resellers. That's too bad, some of the cws were quite nice.

Here is a quick group portrait of my 70s. Find this such an easy format to wear! So soft, and less material than a 90.
Top row: printemps/ete 69/70, rendezvous rive gauche, les parisiennes( kiraz)
Middle: bal masque, rose compass, ballet aquatique
Bottom row: savanna dance, dragonflies. Bain de mer.

Will show some model pix later...View attachment 3691818
Gorgeous collection, scarf1. So lovely! Thank you for sharing.

7 May 2017 70 cm VINTAGE SILKS: “resting” away from the boutiques

Hermès declared (and not in jest)
“The vintage 70s need a rest.”
Now that they’re rare in the H boutique,
They’ll soon acquire a real mystique!

If you wear scarves AMs and PMs
Then you surely have some 70 cms
In inches, that’s 27.5 —
A tres chic look for which we strive.

New 90 twills feel rather crispy —
Mousselines are light and wispy.
Vintage silks are soft like butter,
In a breeze they tend to flutter.

I like the way a 70 ties:
It’s such a useful, handy size;
Nice for when the weather’s hot,
Cute when you do a special knot.

Its softness makes a lovely drape,
But fold with care to keep its shape!
This week we’re going small (not shawl),
Let’s see your 70s, Scarfies all!

The poems you write to kick off theme weeks make my day, ABQ2ATL. Also, your collection is super! Some of these I haven't seen tied so your post is especially appreciated .
