They are all wonderful moma but the first one is just wow! on you. I don't know what colour of eyes you have but if they are blue then that must just make them stand out. I love the knot on the second one - really unusual but so elegant!

Thank you so much, Pautinka. My eyes are brown with some green flecks. That second knot is the eternally useful asymmetrical knot! It comes out differently every time, so not always able to replicate! Sometimes it looks elegant and sometimes jaunty!

litchi- I think that question is fabulous to ponder and warrants it very own scarf week! I think it kind of depends. I'd say neutral might tone one down, but I wouldn't wear a light neutral and a bright scarf at the expense of it washing me out (which would be a real possibility with me) so I think it might depend on the look and what looks good on you. I do think you can take crazy brights and ground them with something else to "tone" them down. The crazy Capucines of mine is a good example. I ground it with navy. But it would be even more eye blinding if I tried to put it with black (too much contrast).

Thank you for your thoughts on the best pairing of bright scarves with tops, bunnycat! I see your point about a pop/bright-colour scarf against black. Maybe a dark neutral does work better to tone the scarf down.

Actually, this thread is so wonderful, as I hunt for pictures of scarves I catch myself thinking "oh I love that, must wear, oh yes, I love that too, and that one, must find and wear that one too". And that's just my own set. Looking at others' just lets m know there are so many amazing H-scarves.
