Thank you, moma--I'm halfway to Washington DC tonight, driving to a meeting with DH. It was to be a lovely springtime & cherry blossom road trip, but the wind is howling around our hotel windows as I write, inadvertently living La Vie du Grand Nord for real with Blizzard Stella (of course I brought the scarf with me)! Thank you for the CW info -- I'll try to find that third color. I love this scarf!
La Vie du Grand Nord is a very appropriate scarf these days!!! We hear in media even in Sweden about your weather! Hope you will have a nice time nevertheless!
I once owned La Vie du Grand Nord color way 16 Marron/Noisette/Violine. Here is a picture. The colors were not right for me, sorry to say, so I brought it back to the store. Instead I got another, that I will post later this week. Cold and stormy weather here too!

It's such a fun scarf - I love huskies. So maybe we can get another few more days out of our snowy/icy scarves!
Just realized that halfway to DC from where you are means you are really NOT supposed to be having winter storminess. DRAT! I hope you can snuggle up with DH and enjoy your trip anyway.

I'm also twin with @momasaurus on ELeK. This is probably my favorite scarf (other than samourais) so of course I have to collect more than one CW. My love for it wasn't love at first sight at all. Maybe some of you have heard about how I got a CW that I wasn't drawn to but bought it anyways just to understand the hype. It's a somewhat pale colored one. That one also came with some flaws but the price was so low for ELeK so I figured that I wouldn't have much to lose. Turned out it's impossible to fail with this design. Even a seems-to-be-boring-when-flat CW can turn into some gorgeous scarf when tied. Thanks to the flaws I never have to worry about keeping it in pristine condition (who wants to be the first guilty one, right?). So now I have three 90s and one CSGM.

I've been a good scarfie packing my suitcase according to the scarf themes these days. Ha! So this is the one that's traveling with me currently to go with my RJ bag.

I like dark cws for my ship scarves. My Jonques et Sampans is in grey, which makes it look like the ships are moored at night, casting dark shadows. The Retour de Peche is in navy (pun intended) with the fishing boats in a ghostly lighter blue, returning to port in the dim twilight or at the cusp of dawn. It is with great restraint that I am not buying a daylight cw just to balance the yin and yang  T'would ruin the whole Flying Dutchman/Mary Celeste vibe I've got going

It's so chic with your exquisite blouse, cavalla!

Urashima Taro is the first mousseline that DH bought as a gift for a milestone BD a couple of years ago. I posted it along with the story from the folktale of Japan.

Oh- these are beauties....I really shouldn't want a Siesta- but that ties so nicely!

Water in the fountain by place de la Concorde. My first time wearing this new to me scarf. Les Triples. Looking forward to visiting Paris again in a few months!View attachment 3633255

Love how you got the fountain right on the front scarf1!

Thanks, momasaurus!! Ooh, can I see your turquoise-y one? That sounds gorgeous, too!

I think this is cw 1, but I'm unsure of the name. Here's an unfolded shot, along with a couple more mod shots wearing a navy top:

What's great about 90s is its ability to serve as a kangaroo pouch for critters in need, as shown here:

(I told DH, "No, it most certainly is not an albatross around my neck!")

Beautiful Joannadyne!

Adding the obvious for this week's theme - Rencontre Oceane

Love them!

These past few weeks have shown me what a dire hole I have to fill in my collection! I need more music and water-themed scarves in my life, especially since I adore classical music and work for the aquatics industry. And so the hunt continues ...

In the meantime, here are four that i was able to dig up to suit this week's watery theme:
