Thanks, momasaurus!! Ooh, can I see your turquoise-y one? That sounds gorgeous, too!

I think this is cw 1, but I'm unsure of the name. Here's an unfolded shot, along with a couple more mod shots wearing a navy top:

What's great about 90s is its ability to serve as a kangaroo pouch for critters in need, as shown here:

(I told DH, "No, it most certainly is not an albatross around my neck!")

Here's the turquoise, don't have the CW IMG_1489519510.642308.jpgIMG_1489519528.909516.jpgIMG_1489519546.240422.jpg

Urashima Taro is the first mousseline that DH bought as a gift for a milestone BD a couple of years ago. I posted it along with the story from the folktale of Japan.

Oh boy, SCARF MAIL!
Two grails came for me today that are both suitable for this week's theme...
La Vie du Grand Nord with snow and fish. I have dithered over this scarf for years, always thinking I wanted an "icy" colorway, but not really liking pale color on me... then last week the Goode Jan posted this beauty, "newly reduced" and meant for me! Does anyone know the colorway--by which I mean what does H call the colors in this scarf? I'd say mauve and burgundy, but it would be nice to know the "official" colors. (If I recall correctly, Croisette is a real fan of this design.)

Next is a scarf that has fascinated me for years -- at first I thought it was a joke to think of paying anything for a scarf that was just a lot of stripes, but then I realized that it was actually kind of sophisticated -- the stripes are horizontal but free-form, giving a panoramic view of ocean waves that look closer together toward the horizon. The more I examined this pattern, the more I felt the relaxation of looking at the ocean -- very zen and calming. I saw white scarves with blue stripes (like Bunnycat's white moussie) , navy scarves with white, and other combinations -- I even bought a pink and purple twilly hoping that would satisfy my longing.

All to no avail -- last week I found my HG at a great price and it arrived today! It was described as "blue and grey" but it's actually a periwinkle blue with pale blue stripes and hem -- I am happy out of all proportion to the simplicity of this design! Sorry that I was too eager to try it on before I photographed it flat, so there are wrinkles that shouldn't be there.:yucky:

As you saw with H2O in the intro, I love striped scarves -- so meet my oh-so-simple Holy Grail!

Congratulations on your two amazing HGs, ABQ2ATL! Terrific scores, and they both looks simply wonderful on you!
I keep dithering about La Vie du Grand Nord and I stared at the one on Jan's site for some time but could never make myself jump. I'm SO glad it went to you!

These past few weeks have shown me what a dire hole I have to fill in my collection! I need more music and water-themed scarves in my life, especially since I adore classical music and work for the aquatics industry. And so the hunt continues ...

In the meantime, here are four that i was able to dig up to suit this week's watery theme:
