it will be close to impossible for most of ur carres.
2003 is when they first had tags with cws attached and i heard that european H cut off that tag when u purchased from them for a long time.

I have a 2003 Fêtes vénitiennes, a 2004 Noël au 24 Faubourg, and a 2005 La Vie du fleuve, but I can't find any cw name!
I found this great picture of "my" scarf though: http://cdn.fashionmagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/oct11hermes_8.jpg

I love to see this aspect of silk :)

I'm going to stop trying. I suppose it's easier to find the names of recent scarves, now that we have internet, forums, and smartphones to take quick pictures and post them on tPF.

I love the Grand Air, such a lovely green! The little monkey comment made me chuckle. ;)

I love your autumnal scarves, Elaine you did a great job with the knots, thank you for sharing the monkey on Libres Comme l'Air, he's so cute!

All of these look wonderful on you ElainePG, the monkey peeking out is adorable!

Thank you rainne, birkinmary, and Bova! It took me absolutely forever to find the monkey in this scarf! And when I finally saw him, it just cracked me up.

Thank heavens for seton's blog, Hermesology, which told me that Circus has no monkey, or I'd still be looking for him!:p

BEautiful detail in the libres comme air - he's so cute!

You look gorgeous in any bright colors, dear Elaine! Especially
A.F's Libres Comme l'Air looks like the color of the sunset, it's indescribably beautiful!
The monkey is so funny!

Thank you both! I had my doubts about the scarf when I bought it, but it is simply so full of life! And of course it is perfect for the season, because the birds are migrating!

Yes, cherryblossum, I'm in Madrid now but leaving tomorrow again...

Today's contribution is a quintessential autumnal scarf, Tourbillon:

And an earth colored Carré Kantha:

birkinmary, you AND your scarves are looking splendid! The way you draped your Kantha casually over your white shirt dress... perfection! And that is an amazing CW of Tourbillon. Autumnal yet springlike, all at the same time!

Thank you, dear Elaine! Yes, we're twins on Point d'Orgue! I've had this scarf since it came out, and I still discover colors it goes well with! A very versatile scarf - as is the CW of L'Arbre de Vie you were admiring. Glad to enable :graucho:

And the monkey on your Libre comme l'Air made me smile this morning - great CW of that scarf too!

Thank you, sophieg... the monkey makes me smile every time I wear this scarf!

Thank you , dear Elaine! I love this style, because it's warm and beautiful! I wear dress shirt or jacket in dress shirt style to wear my scarf! Scarves are part of my uniform. I usually keep wearing my clothes in this style until the end of April, so the way of wearing my scarf won't change. Hope you won't get bored of seeing my pics!
Never, my dear friend!

AHA! Thank you, seton... you have just answered a question that I posted on the Reference Thread... I will have to hop over there and tell marietouchet to ignore me. I have been trying (with no success, OBviously!) to find CWs for the scarves I bought between 1985 & 1993. Well, as they say... duh! So now I will carry on with what I've been doing all along, which is to simply LOOK at my scarves, and note down my best guess at the three main colors in each scarf.

I mean, it's not exactly rocket science...:p

Thank you everyone for the kind compliments on ZP. This scarf is quickly becoming my favorite twill currently. Pierina, Melora, florasun, sophieg, moma, bova, bkm, HofT, chestnutty, kitty, and canuck - thanks with silk hugs.

This was my first CSGM shawl from H so many moons ago. I love wearing it this way most. TGIF!
It is positively beyond gorgeous, lanit, and you wear it so well! Which GM is it?

Many, many thanks for all of your kind comments, momasaurus, scarf1, Maedi, birkinmary, Bova (what a gorgeous Voyages you're wearing!), HfromT, lanit (So sorry, we'll be in FL for Thanksgiving but you're more than welcome to come!), CanuckBagLover, sophieg, cherryblossum, Florasun, and Melora. And of course seton, for your wit. :roflmfao:

Not to worry, no one was harmed in the taking of that picture. Used those little metal clips with some paper in between. ;)

I'm spending the weekend at a haiku conference; wearing a different one of my Japanese-themed scarves every day. (I have three; fortunately, the conference only lasts 3 days!:p)

In keeping with our autumn theme, here is an autumn-toned Ikebana arrangement that one of the group's members brought to the conference.

And a haiku I wrote today (the assignment was to write a haiku about birds):

crows shriek blue murder —
within cypress tree branches
a hawk… unruffled

Interesting photo since I teach horticulture, it's an unusual combination of bird of paradise, daisy and red fall foliage, I don't recognize the foliage, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
