My own personal Proues is probably the most colorful cw of this design

Hard to tell but the corners are purple, while border is indigo

That one is beautiful, so vibrant .

Here is my navy, tan and yellow Proues

Thank you marietouchet and frou frou, for your pictures of the unfolded Proues! They look modern and very stunning! Hope this design will be reissued!!:)

This starts to feel like a Napoléon week (do you think we've seen all existing cw?), and I almost feel sorry to interrupt with a non-Napoléon scarf ;) But it's my only Ledoux -and my most recent scarf. I have to thank Esmeralda for showing me the robee knot, a new favorite! It allows to show light blue and white on a scarf that's mostly dark blue.
Cosmos, Air France edition.

Love your Cosmos on you, Melora!

What a beautiful CW, dear cherryblossum! The blues look so wonderful as a contrast with the taupe. Lovely knotting.

Thank you, dear cherryblossum!

I am not surprised that you have not seen this CW before... it is an old one!:p It is interesting, Quai Aux Fleurs is available from resellers, but I have never seen it, like mine, with the background in a single color. And usually the colors are much brighter. I am glad I selected the one I did, though usually in those days I picked brighter CWs!

Yes, I look forward to seeing my Napoléon before Christmas too... it is coming from Japan, and I think it will be here next week, long before Christmas!:D

Thank you, dear Elaine!
You should be proud of your Quai Aux Fleurs, because the following people have less possibilities to get this one in the cw exactly you have!
OMG your Napoléon had lived next door to me....:p:

Team silk - I have been eager to share a new find with y'all. I'm hopelessly off theme today and am having an even harder time with headless selfies. Some days they are easy and other days, impossible. C'est la vie. So I'm an admitted Astrologie nouvelle junkie (have two 140cms and have been hunting a 90 cm forever). It takes a lot of restraint not to bid on the perforated ones I see all the time. So I snagged one that I felt had a casual cw vibe and TBH, my orange Pico was demanding it also. The orange in the scarf is more of a burnt orange, but that's ok close enough! Ever since my stinky kelly went back to her homeland, I have been carrying my picos around a lot! So here she is with some mod shots. As you can see, I'm still playing around with modified cowboy knots. I'm determined to come up with a few more! Which one looks better? The smaller gold ring or larger silver one? Thanks for reading my silky tale.

Thank you for posting your new treasure, MYH! It is very beautiful cw and looks gorgeous on you! Major congrats!
I am a big fan of AN , too! I had an eye on green/red /blue? cw during the season on H. Com, but I finally passed it. I mean I missed it! I know it's hard to find out this design in exact cw you want at the resellers! Did you see MT in spring season?
Since I have learned from my failure, I
purchased AN maxi twilly in similar cw, which I am trying to tie right now!

Many thanks for all the very kind comments on the turquoise and brown New Springs scarf!!! That one was a gift from DH, from the Mother Ship in fact. It's the one and only scarf he's ever bought. When asked how he chose that particular one, he said that he looked until he saw turquoise and took the first one he came to.

cherryblossum - That Jockey section of your giant Patch scarf is super! You must like blue a lot too.

Intersting story. :)
Thank you, pierina! Yes, I do love blue, too.

Ooops! And thank you pierina for your complement on my Proues, and for posting DD's Pavois! I'd dismissed Pavois as 'just a flag scarf' until I picked up the pochette and started studying the details. It's wonderful!

And a treat to 'see' you as well :hugs:; life has regrettably interfered with my ability to fully participate on SOTD, despite my continuing passion (obsession :D )
Textilegirl - I smiled when I heard you were reading the thread about wearing a 90s casually. I actually tried to post some pics on Friday but the site was acting up so I was not successful. I will try again either tmrw or Monday. I'm determined to wear those 90s!

The Ledoux-Rybaltchenko trilogy:

La Marine a Rames 1978
Les Trois Mousquetaires 1980
Les Amazones 1968

LedouxRybaltrilogy.jpg

Thank you for the marvellous [ literally] photos and insight into these rare designs. Your trio here are beautiful .
Poor me with no Adobe flash can't watch your film , something to stir me into visiting Apple store for help...

Thank you for your compliments Greengoddess, MYH, Maedi, Elaine, and sparkle! I hope I haven't missed anyone!

This one isn't terribly rare, but it's a favorite Ledoux nonetheless (love the rigging!); here's Marine et Cavalerie classing up a pedestrian sweater (I'm deeply invested in MYH's "I must wear my 90cm silks" program, and I find I'm enjoying them very much, even with my not-leaving-the-house lounge wear).

Lovely on you that crimson border and the tie is great [ is it asymmetric shoulder wrap method?]

Happy Halloween to everyone ! I'm celebrating it with a little orange in my 'Jungle Love' Plissé.

This is some plissé, it glows and lights up your cashmere top. :sunshine:
My one venture into this format was not successful as the dark blues of the Kachinas predominated against the flashes of colour .I think a bright plissé ,or one with a pale border works best .
