Welcome musicmom! :welcome2: wow! Just wow! Great pairing and awesome tying. I think you have a good eye for scarf combos.

Momasauras, you are definitely talented in the scarf combo dept. I think your two pics look fantastic. :woohoo::woohoo:

Another beautiful pic and on theme contribution. Dang, we are a talented bunch! Love the two scarves you chose and how they work together.
Thanks for the welcome, MYH! You are too kind about my ties and color sense. Mostly it is just serendipity when things work well, but I do TRY to remember the successes and how to reproduce them. Looking forward to seeing more of your collection!

This is beautiful, musicmom! I love Annie Faivre's designs

Thanks, sophieg! I am so drawn to Annie Faivre's designs. Almost every time I find a new scarf I love, it turns out to be one of hers!

I think I spy a Laboratoire du Temps as your avatar: that's one of the scarves I am looking for at the moment, and in that cw too!!! We seem to have the same taste in detailed, quirky scarves :giggles:

Thank you, Elaine. You are very kind. I was also curious what your area was when you were a professor. Of course, only if you feel like sharing ;)

Of course!:smile1: I was a professor as part of career #3, when I was an advocate for victims of domestic abuse. I was not a counselor or therapist; I was a writer & public speaker. And a professor at a School of Medicine, where I taught faculty how to screen their patients, and what to do if they discovered that one of their patients was in an abusive relationship. (I also travelled to many other med schools, nursing schools, schools of social work, etc. teaching the same thing).

Hi!

I love this Folklore d'Henri d'Origny

Have a gr8 day everybody
Wow, extrafashion... this carré is incredible! It looks magnificent on you, and the CW you selected shows up the design to perfect advantage.

I just looked it up on the Hermès site and saw (sigh) that it only comes in the 140cm size. Or at least, that's the only size I was able to find. At 5' nothing (on a good day:giggles:) that's simply too much scarf for me!

Do you happen to know if they have ever issued this scarf in the standard 90cm size? I'd buy it in a heartbeat! I'm in love!

MYH, It's the sort of knot that takes multiple tries to get right each time. Fold into triangle. Bunch up one side. Arrange on neck. Then tie the other side around the bunched up one.

It's my favorite way to wear the 90cm right now as it "shrinks" it to a wearable size for me.

No magnets, dear Elaine. I tried to give instructions just above. It's not an easy thing to do, and it works best when just playfully bunching the scarf up.

I'll experiment... that's half the fun! (The other half is lusting after new ones, LOL!)

I've never owned a dip dye... in the days when I frequented the Hermès boutiques, they hadn't invented it yet! One of these days, when I'm in a city, I'll have to check it out.:smile1:

Thank you, momasaurus! I bought them "on the cheap" at Etsy and I'm having a blast playing with them!

As for a CW for La Ronde des Heures, is it still available at the boutique? Or are you hunting at the resellers? I bought the one in green because of the verse on the scarf (loosely translated as "“I count the hours among the flowers"). Even though the images are clocks, the floral verse led me to "greenery":smile1:

I've seen it (here, I think!) in navy blue, and it's stunning. There's also a really pretty turquoise one on HCSI. And another one on HCSI, in different shades of purple. It's fun hunting, isn't it?:ghi5:
It is definitely fun hunting. I've seen 2 different greens, though, of Ronde des Heures (not IRL). One brighter, one more olive-y. I do like the navy. Sigh.

Silkies, what do you do when the temperature finally falls below 90 degrees? You wear a cashmere shawl of course. On theme and twins with Croisant,, a collection of gorgeous Kimonos on Faivre's Voyage en Etoffes that has been re-released in a 90 silk twill this season.

sparklelisab, I hadn't realized that Voyage en Etoffes had been released as a 90cm this year. Oh, dear... I am in big trouble! I'm a big fan of A.F. silks; I find them irresistible. My other problem is that I'm in  with at least 3 of the CWs!

In the meantime, though, you look splendid in your shawl. Nothing like snuggling into a bit of cashmere when autumn arrives!

And I have a question. Are you and I distant cousins (third cousins once-removed, perhaps:p)? I ask because I own a different A.F. "kimonos" carré: Kimonos et Inros. I realize that my scarf only has four kimonos, whereas your shawl has umpteen, but still...

I can't quote again! Uhh!

Momasaurus, my dear you know how much I love this DD! It looks so amazing on you!! This one is a must have for me. I say this every time I see yours! :p
MYH, oh I love your pictures! What a pretty collection of silks and enamels you have and I love your Picotins too! I have two myself and find this to be such a functional and fun bag! I love, love, love your orange Pico!
Lanit, what artful pictures you have shared. They are so pretty! Your mousseline is one of the most stunning moussies I have ever seen! It is so perfect on you!
ElainePG, I just love how you knotted your LRdH! What a gorgeous silk.
Arabesques, I have to share my deepest thanks and gratitude for your amazing pictures! You have the most amazing Marwari collection and you capture the color so beautifully! I am trying to decided between your blue and green cw DD (and waiting on the purple CSGM). I hope to see both very soon! You wear each one you have perfectly! Thank you for taking the time to share these!!
Maedi, I love your MS gavaroche and the DD is just precious! You look beautiful in pinks!
ExtraFashion, you look great in Folklore!
LisaB, I love your CSGM Voyage en Etoffes! The cw is just gorgeous on you! Great intro this week too!!:smile1:
Please let me know the minute you get "my" dip dye, Vitamina. I will be so happy to be twins with you! :hbeat::hbeat::hbeat:
