lanit's Maharajas gave me a great hint.
I'm not good at bias fold , I'm not sure I can replicate this.

Thank you, Maedi--they really are colored very similarly! Which CW of the PromDeLong do you have? It's a great scarf!

P.S. Sorry for the boots. Archival pic!
Rosamonde - your braiding is top notch and your combos are divine! :woohoo:

One from the archives - and favorite two silks - red and white pegasus.
So casual and chic. As always, Gorgeous scarf selfie.

My belated contribution to the last week theme :
Hermesick - I've never seen this scarf before. I am in lov with the pinwheels in the corner.

This is also from the archives. Two vintage oldies: Reprise and Brides de Gala combined. Both are very soft due to their age.
Your scarves do indeed look so soft and well loved. As they should be.

This isn't a double-scarf, but everyone was so helpful with ideas for my poor, ignored Muserolles that I wanted to show what I did this morning.

As you can see, I made a necklace. I just used three knots, because I don't own any little scarf rings yet (though I picked some up "on the cheap" at Etsy last night!). But I was able to make the knots in such a way that the pink and purple stood out, and now the scarf isn't overpoweringly grey.:smile1: And I'm sure if I had done a bit more fiddling with the sections between the center knot and the two side knots, puffing them out a bit, I could have gotten even more of the pink to pop out.

Thank you cherryblossum, Melora24, rosamonde, momasaurus, and Birdonce for your encouragement. Birdonce, my next project for this carré will be the "flower" knot!

Perfect scarf necklace ElainePG! I can see the pink and not just gray. Scarf necklaces are one of my favorite ways to wear my 90cms.

Thank you all for your nice comments about my double silks. These are my combos du jour:

Double your happiness today!!!
Birkinmary - your scarf combos are to die for! You've got a great eye for pairings.

My day today is linked with vintage scarf..
Grand Apparat by Jacques Eudel.
apologies for "bathroom" photo..:)
Your scarf belt looks fantastic! No need to apologize for bathroom photo. :smile1:

This is a really fun Scarf Week theme! I'm very much enjoying seeing all the combinations you ladies are coming up with, and it's fun to be creative and try something new.

OK, so I seem to be obsessed with this two-scarf braid! Here is one more, with La Ronde des Heures and Tout Cuir.

But just to prove that I am not COMPLETELY stuck on the braid, here are the same two scarves mimicking a 140 cm in the weave knot.

I think it's fun that the gentler colors showed in the braid, where we get more of the reds and navies from both scarves in the weave knot. (That's the hallmark of a great H scarf in my opinion--how many different looks you can get from it--and these are two of the favorites in my collection for just that reason!)

(P.S. Edited to add photos of the scarves unfolded. Again, please excuse the boots--archival pic!)
Rosamonde - we are twins on Tout Cuir. Keep the braids coming!

(now I remember the necklace was in basic bias fold :s )

Now that I'm finally back from my trip, I can play in my scarf drawer and contribute to this thread! On theme with a layered cowboy knot today. Using Flots du cheval and la Mer au Ciel. Kind of busy but I think it works. :-) sorry for bad pic quality. I'm still trying to figure out where the light is best in my new house.

Today's two-scarf theme: I picked scarves whose names rhyme!:smile1:

Using Farandole and Muserolle, I finally figured out how to re-create rosamonde's braid, and here is the result.

Combining two carrés has been such a fun exercise... I never even knew it was possible! When I look at these two scarves side-by-side, it would never would occur to me to combine them because the pinks are totally different. And yet, once they are braided, the grey somehow pulls it all together and it works. More Hermès magic!

Ladies, I thought I would see what happened by combining the same scarf in two different colorways.

Alas, I think these CWs of Qu'Importe le Flacon are too similar to even look like it's two different scarves. :shrugs:

Does anyone else have the same scarf in a couple of different CWs? It would be interesting to see photos of those combined a la the week's theme!

Elaine! That looks wonderful! Your braid turned out so nicely, and you're right--those scarves really work well together. :D So glad you had success! I hope you get many compliments here and out in the real world. :smile1:

MYH--great success! Yes, absolutely they work! What a fun and creative pairing. :balloon:

Also, so happy to be twins with you on the Tout Cuir. One of my favorite all-time scarves. I will look forward to seeing you wearing yours!

I just wanted to say I've been so inspired by this week's theme! I've lurked on this thread for many months admiring, and have only just begun my scarf collection. But this week made me go play with a few of my little scarves and I combined two twilly scarves that worked together. I don't know if it's ok to post it here, since only one of them is an H, but it sure was fun! Thanks for the inspiration!

I would love to see it, bunnycat!

Thank you Melora, moma, rosamonde, maedi and birkinmary for your sweet comments. Welcome to new posters elaine and bunnycat! I combined a 70 and a 90 and this is the result with two contrasting silks Kelly en Perles and New Springs. Keep those photos and creative combos going - so much fun to see!

Ohhhh, so pretty and delicate, lanit--both as a pairing and combined with that lovely top. And your beautiful lips match perfectly!

Fabulous braiding, rosamonde; and I love your colorway of La Ronde! Is your carré from the 1980s release, or from the reissue? I don't remember seeing that CW when I bought mine in 1986-ish... if I had, I probably would have bought it (I was buying lots of blue CWs in those days to go with my navy business suits!:p)

The weave knot is simply delicious.

Oh, sorry, Elaine--I'm working backward in the thread today. Thanks for your nice words! I believe my CW is from the 2000 reissue. Did/do you wear H scarves a lot with suits? I think that is a smashing look--so chic. I hope you post lots of pix for us to enjoy. :smile1:

Huzzah! Now there's LOTS of pink showing! You'd never know this was the same design.
