Oh Pierina, I helping my ds plant a tree for dh on Father's Day, and had a fit! Even with gloves, dirt got on my hands, they sweat, and my nails were hideous. How on earth can you WEED??? I did catch a cute little king snake though. So happy to see your lovely self despite your horrible hobby.:smooch:

seton, love your blues. I too wear a scarf days at a time. This summer, it's one mousse a week.

Maedi, I love that we share the Bird Dance love. Will post this week

momasaurus, you have some fabulous silk but your lips got me. I tell Anfang to gets some lippy on those beauties in my bossy way, all said with love and can't wait to see some Chanel red on you too!

How wonderful that you planted a tree. What kind? Wear these gloves over a coating of hand lotion. No sweat, no dirt inside until you wear through the fingers. I have multiple pairs and toss them in the wash after every use. :smile1:

Between the all the weeding and the rainstorms I haven't taken any pictures for theme week yet. :amazed: The historic/commemorative scarves all seem to be Kermit Oliver's so here are recent archive pics of Chefs Indiens, the Kleberg Conservation/New Texas scarf and the Tyson's Corners Washington D.C. 2006 Les Ameriques.

From the garden - a quick Iris pic for Etoile de Mer.

And a critter for Sparklelisab, a common snapping turtle out on a reconaissance misson. :D

Good deal. He could be frightful. How big is he and what does he eat? And was he happy to see you are back?:smile1:

Yes, they are fierce when they're out of the water! They bite because they're too big to retract into their shells and are omnivores that hunt by 'aqautic ambush': frogs, fish, the odd small bird or mammal, and plants. This one was pretty small, the shell only 15" long, and I think was looking for a lady snapper. Luckily they're usually down in the pond. I think neither of us were truly happy to see each other. :D

Pierina, we are twins on all 3 scarves! Beautiful iris and funny wise turtle!

Pierina, did that turtle crawl right off your Chefs indiens? He looks a tad less peaceful, though. What a fierce expression! :boxing:

Great gloves! These could be useful for many things - I presume you have the blue, pierina?

Wow, Croisette, that's unusual to be twins on three scarves, even from one designer. GUess that you love blues too? :graucho: And thank you.

momasaurus, Kermit Oliver's turtle definitely looks more peaceful, I agree!

Why of course I have the blue, VesperSparrow! As my son said many years ago when he was very young and his grandfather asked him what his favorite color was: "Blue is the perfect color". ;)

pierina, no one wears blues like you! And your turtle looks quite determined! :D

Oh this just made my day. I was out right now with the goats, looking at the tree I just planted, wondering what kind it was so I could tell you. I just said to the nursery guy--what tree is hardy and grows fast. Done. But here is the critter I found. :smooch:

OMG!! That little kind snake is going to startle someone. SORRY FRIENDS. I do not know why pic is so big. Pierina, your blues are gorgeous. Love all your pics. And Mr. Turtle is quite a meany, huh? They are vicious. When I was pregnant, my husband would call me Hatchet Woman or a Snapping Turtle. Yep yep yep.
