Not the b/w today - this came from across the ocean and one I waited a long time for one to surface. Completely surprised about the colors though. Maybe it qualifies more as a 'sepia" silk?

this is stunning, lanit! looks much more gorgeous on you than flat.

Here is my modest contribution of scarves that have a white background! Two of which I've previously shared on this thread, I think after seeing all of the beautiful b&w scarves this week I'm really surprised at how beautiful (and not sombre, as I had previously thought) they are! Some really amazing collections. Always a pleasure to flick through this threadForum

Oh wow! We have quite a few b/w hoarders amongst us! Lanit and anfang - your collections left me speechless. Lanit - I play the piano too but didn't want to bring out my silks to the keyboard because DH is sitting out there enjoying a cup of coffee. Don't need any raised eyebrows IYKWIM. Birkinmary - I see a dip dye revolution about to happen with the help of your enabling. Great job on your DD. Jahna - love the paint scarf and it's gorgeous colors. This one is so modern and classic all at the same time.

Ok silkies - the weather here is hot and I felt like I was cheating posting archive pics. So I played around with my moussie this morning and have decided it looks decent enough (I don't look too matronly) to wear out of the house. Thought I would also share a pic. Hope everyone has/had a great weekend.

Well, here I am again. Distracted. This time, no, not by lanit's perfect mouth, or Anfang's scroll/horse tail, or birkinmary's sublime Phaeton. This time it is the excellent composition of the pictures Seton. I love how the dashes of color offset your name against the richness of the black and white textures and patterns of the scarves. Well done!

I'm loving everyone's black and white treasures but this thread moves way too fast for me to comment on each. But I do need to give a shout out to lanit's mousse l'ecrire - a design I love here as if written on tissue paper. So beautiful!

TY, I thought I sucked at composition and photography. And I do agree that lanit has a perfect mouth. Reminds me of two things: 1) my mother also has a perfect mouth [I've been envious ever since I first tried on a lipstick] and 2) how Grace Kelly supposedly had the perfect aristocratic nose and plastic surgeon always use her as pt of reference for nose jobs.

And thank you for the Seton Plaid. Ive never had a plaid named after me before!

Scarfies, it has gotten warm so the Silk Necklace emerges. MYH, this will work for you in your new, warmer climate and the heavy knot should stay in place even with the winds you described.

And I believe I need a 12-Step Program as here are my 3 favorite designs(2 each for a GM size) in b/w colorways for this week's theme, but I cannot wear them. And also, wanted to share my FIRST jersey--Anfang is to blame. I feel like I have some of Ladybaga's Crush--the Indian Guy, Pegase's horses on the left side,and "MY" tiger in the middle. And then, of course, the Scuba Guys.... This piece is amazing and I doubt I will be able to wear it either. Dang! Look at the cute little horses in the corner.

We must be lanit; it is the b/w/red scarf with the odd dimension. Haven't quite figured out how best to tie it. Strange that you can't see the image? Do other people see it? Maybe its the red cowboy boots...
