THANK YOU FOR THE REPLY PEGASE! I FELT SO stupid posting that question on TPF. The TPF'ers are a group of such smart, talented, savy women, and I thought I was asking a question which I should have known the answer to.yes!!! our former Scarf Mistress Jahna did!!!!![]()

But to JAHNA, I love your work! I had no idea (clueless, again......gotta work on that) but CONGRATS to you. You multi talented, and modest woman. I can only imagine what it must feel like to be so creative. To visualize, to cogitate, then do you sketch? The entire experience of the smell of oil paint, the palette, the canvas. AMAZING, thank you for the exposure. With best regards to such a talented, creative woman. So thankful you shared.
I am OT!
Deborah1986, so good to see you again!
Deborah, you look great! I hope you have an amazing holiday in Greece! Ahh, looks so relaxing....love Greece. Enjoy!
What a beautiful place, Deborah! Enjoy the blue sky! Here it's raining cats and dogs... You look wonderful!
Thank you deborah! you look great in the pictures in Greece, how lucky you are!
So beautiful! The colors of your outfit exquisitely reflect your surroundings and I love your Birkenstock.
Holy Camole, I have lots of comments, but I wanted to share my two oldest scarves. I became a Silky in 2011 and these two were my very first purchases made in a boutique: Din Tini and Doigts de Fee. I didn't know it at the time, but chartreuse was and is my favorite color against my dang pink skin. Both have the color, bold and beautiful! Who knew?)
While portraiture is my first and continuing, love, I am now working on...scarf designs.
bjostone, pegase, anfang, VesperSparrow, and others,
Now I am getting a little embarrassed; I did that portrait when I was 15. Still working in art, though (my whole career has been illustration). While portraiture is my first and continuing, love, I am now working on...scarf designs. Maybe it will turn into my "next love".
I just delight in all the postings here. Although I have many scarves, I bought them for "content". Now, thanks to this thread, you all are teaching me how to "wear" them! My whole idea of design has changed since I have been on this forum.
So, Thanks for your encouragement; it is spurring me on. I have been ignoring art for a while, and about to get back to it. Wow. Love this community.
PS. I'll be posting some more "oldies" before the end of the week; love the "senior citizens" of Hermes.
This is such a cool idea Melora! Love your creativity!Still playing with my 2 favorite scarves, hence the not-matching top.
I folded both scarves in basic bias. I used my rings (bought at H&M) to help the biases stay folded. I used 2 small belt buckles to knot the ends together, creating an infinity scarf.

Sparklelisab, you aren't afraid of color! Those two work well together; I wouldn't have thought of it. I have never seen that CW of "Doigts".
Melora24, for now I am painting in traditional mediums on canvas or watercolor boards. With illustration, I used the airbrush and the computer. Long way from finishing any scarf; I'll let you know.
Nico_79, I am a little sorry to say that some of my favorite pieces of art are from high school, but when I went "commercial" I stopped painting for a LONG time. I have gotten inspired again, I think mostly because of Hermes. I am constantly enthralled by the inventiveness of taking a design and producing it in multiple CWs that all work to some degree. My acquisitions now have to do with tracking down what I see as the best CW of certain scarves. The people who separate out the screens are brilliant, and I am amazed at how different one scarf from one CW to another.
Well, I was going to photograph some of my old ones today, but it is raining (again)... Here's a really unusual one from 1948 of which I do have a picture:

Still playing with my 2 favorite scarves, hence the not-matching top.
I folded both scarves in basic bias. I used my rings (set of 5 plain rings from H&M) to help the biases stay folded. I used 2 small belt buckles to knot the ends together, creating an infinity scarf.
Don't be embarrassed anytime, Jahna! You're a lucky gal being talented. You were talented before aging 15, you'll still be long time again. From what I can see around me, I cannot tell if being so talented is a gift. But I'm not in the mood at that time for some philosophy!bjostone, pegase, anfang, VesperSparrow, and others,
