So lovely to see you and your beautiful moussies @Awillow!Lovely, dear karenska. And a resuscitated hem is always rewarding!
Not on theme, but here is today's scarf. A moussie - my most duplicated design within my collection - Peuple du Vent. Thanks to @bunnycat for the inspiration!

Excellent @JavaJo! I was going to show this also as I think the wider pleats do emphasize the geometric pattern of the hem.
More beautiful red hems @Karenska-- I remember the hunt for that Pytheas!I love this post, Rbh, concentrating on one color for hems, and they are all just lovely, especially Acte III which was my first choice cw, although I can’t quibble as I adore mine. Love your new swester, too, what a beautiful color. Please stay warm!! Here’s are two red hemmed beauties, Le Voyage de Pytheas and Kelly en Caleche.

It is nice to see your beautiful Maharanis and your lovely earrings!I haven‘t posted for quite some time but I want to be more active again. Thank you @Maedi!Your Precious Paradise is so beautiful and you highlighted the coral hem perfectly.
That is a beautiful contrast hem @darkstar66! Love seeing the details too...Hello and good morning,
I don't have so many spectacular hems or borders, I think, and those I have have mostly been shown already (Ardmore, Honoré...). My favourite hem at the moment is the bright violet one on Jardins de soie, twins with @Nomad of course.😍 The animals are magical, they turn from almost naturalistic (outer border) to a little bit strange (middle border) to mostly mythological (inner square). Here are 3 examples of a rooster, or at least I think it is always a rooster. 😀View attachment 6119486View attachment 6119487View attachment 6119488View attachment 6119489
That is a fantastic border! Safe travels, LkbI am in transit today and tomorrow, weather permitting but I wanted to share a recent scarf with a fantastic border! Bottes Story by Carine Brancowitz has a border that depicts desert scenery at different times. The scarf story describes this as the landscape of Arizona. I love the all the different varieties of cactus and the starry night sky.

Dear RBH, thank you and yes, I see that!! An incentive to possibly acquire the moussie somedayThank you, Karen. Did you notice that they simply swapped the pink and green between your 70 version and this mousseline? I loved seeing that. Yours is so pretty on you as well.
Oh, I love this, Anna. You wear reds and oranges so well. And I know how much you love red. Looking at the US website, I really like the Basalte/Blanc and Marine/Bleu Turquin cws, too.
Twins on the book (also a Christmas gift from DH!) and how lucky you are to have a dans l’atelier! Perfect tie and pairing with the MoP scarf ring too.Gorgeous, HE. I love the colors and that scarf ring, which I believe your husband made for you, is stunning. Thank you for hosting such a gun and informative week, despite not being able to join in this week.
For Christmas, my DH gave me a beautiful book of animal art by a most beloved artist. I quite adore it.

The book echoes drawings and artwork found on many of Dallet’s scarves, including Dans l’atelier de Robert Dallet, which I am wearing today in a similar knot as our @HermesEchidna.

Lovely! I can see it would be hard to wait for this one.First time out with my All’ Orto Botanico to the theatre. I was meant to wait until my birthday to wear it (as a present to myself) but that means waiting another two months so I decided I’ve waited long enough!

In hindsight this sweater isn’t the best for Orto. Will try with a cream sweater next time.
Perfect for a cat lover, such as yourself, @Karenska. Thank you for sharing your precious kitties with us too. They are SO sweet 🥰SOTE later to have dinner with friends, so decided to take the mod shot early. Pelages et Camouflage by Aline Honore is one of my favorites, thanks to dear @LKBNOLA who alerted me to it on TRR some years ago. All those beautiful animal furs that vividly remind us of the beauty and utility in nature’s magnificent fauna. Beadwork necklaces and tribal fabrics add to the exotica. I paired it with my own beadwork and pearl jewelry - a lapis and gold heart necklace that was a gift some years ago and a bracelet and earrings I helped design with my wonderful local jeweler, Theresa Girzone, adding one lapis heart to the bracelet as a charm. The St Germain MOP chain d’ancre holds the scarf together. Finally, please note the H fur - Hermes’ own imaginary creature. I’m assigning it feline status, of course.

Great addition. The cherry red accents are so cheerful and a great match with the lip colour.Scarf mail, entirely influenced by this thread! I passed on En Liberte when it came out because I wasn’t following new releases as closely and just skimmed past when I saw all of the dogs. Since returning to this thread, it feels like this design is posted on at least a weekly basis and every colorway is so beautiful. I settled on this one as my favorite and it recently popped up for resale in great condition. Thanks to everyone for the enablement, very happy with my new addition!

Lovely parures des sables and a great pairing with the smokey blue sweater. Did you really knit this yourself? We have such talented scarfies here!Another one of my hand knits this morning, paired with jewelry from the desert, Parures des Sables. Great collectionLast but not least, what I found today as I visited my scarves, after all what else does one do when they are hunkered down waiting for the snow to start? All are 35 inches and twills, except the last which is c/s: Charmes des Plages Normandes, Sous le Cadre, Turandot, Les Jardins d'Andalousie, Axis Mundi and Tapis Volant.

Wow - you look ethereal. These colours on you are just wonderful.
So lovely @Lellabelle, and thank you also for the tranquil photos of the gardens.A quick one, but on theme.
The Egyptians used their clever brains and hands to construct many beautiful objects, from jewellery and crafts, through useful objects and tools, inscriptions and writings, to intricate buildings, boats and cities. SOTD is Tutankhamun, which features the famous king’s golden death mask, along with other precious ceremonial objects.

As I was in the city today, I managed to carve out a few precious moments in an otherwise hectic day to visit the Japanese botanical garden and was reminded of the painstaking attention to detail, and careful hands, that create, nurture and maintain these gardens. Everything from the raking of the gravel paths, the tending of the moss, and the care of the plant forms. Bonus, if you look closely, in the centre of the pic with the open view of the lake is one of the gardeners. Pruning one of the evergreen firs with meticulous attention to detail (I watched him remove individual needle clusters). The light and the reflections today were remarkable. Sharing in the hope these bring a little peace and tranquility to any in Scarflandia who need it.

Audible gasp - it’s so striking and you look beautiful.Loving the clever hand that penned the poemand designed the scarf after it.
I felt moody today with All black. And this moody night sky cw fit the bill. Amazing how the back tail is the back side and still has lovely saturation. Love when that happens.
Totally enabled by our dear @Karenska with this cw. She has showcased it so well over time over the threads

I love it! I intended on wearing mine this week but didn’t get the chance to so I enjoyed seeing yours.Good morning!!
Historically horses are often connected to the military, and so are uniforms. Many scarves show scenes of marches, parades and inspections with both horses and humans in their gala gear.
I dug myself into an internet Hole of researching what parts of uniforms are called in English. Please forgive me for any mistakes.
The trimmings on uniforms are often called passementeries or possements, from the words of passe and mano - items passed through hands. Perfect for the clever hands theme! Passementeries are decorative trimmings like braid, cord, beads for clothing like uniforms, for horses or for furniture. The parts of the uniforms which are placed on the shoulder and often shows the military rank is called Epaulettes and are often adorned with fringes, rosettes and other decor.
The obvious scarf for this part of handicraft is The design Passementerie by Francoise Heron - screenshot, from the web, not my own scarf.

Same goes for Epaulette de Gala (artist unknown, screenshot from H website)

A brandenbourg is the decoration for the chest of the uniform or other coats including the loop and button, also called a frog.
View attachment 6117509
Military motives are normally not really my thing, but as many others in here I fell for the softer flowery Brandenbourg Fleuris by Caty Latham and Jeff Fisher - if just any military action could be made peacefull by adding some flowers in gunbarrels or on brandenbourgs.

Wish you a peaceful and flowery day!!!
I adore this design and never see it for any reasonable amount!Morning,
Might be a bit of a stretch but when I think of mushrooms I think of truffles and the very handy hands (and paws) that are needed to find, dig and clean the truffle before they make their way to our plates.

I have one more cw in darker blue.
Thanks for sweet comments to many of you, dear friends. It’s been a super stressful week and I’ll reply to all in a few days.
Stay strong and happy 💜
Thanks for the lovely inspiration on these pages. I ordered two more scarves online this week. 😳I’m out of control. But I got a good deal and couldn’t resist.
And I managed to get a scarf in H boutique few days ago for older price after all, because I ordered it to the store on time before the price hike. 🥰🙌Yaaay! It made me feel better.
