We are back to sunny weather and the temperature is a nice 72 degrees F. This morning the dogs and I walked in the town's community garden and enjoyed a new small apple grove and the butterfly way station, mostly the milkweed is full of fat bees drunk on pollen... SOTD was the lovely Ivresse au Vent worn, quite unwittingly but very serendipitously, with my butterfly ring... sisters with @CoastalCouture!

Is that a 70cm scarf or 90cm held by the beautiful butterfly ring? Thank you.

I missed two weeks due to fun trips and yes, I followed your advice and ate as much chocolate croissants in Paris as my ❤️desired! And let’s not forget lemon tarts and St Germaine spritzes which of course helped during the hot weather :girlsigh: :giggle:
I brought this Pony Stop double face back home with me as my Paris souvenir and I kind of felt surprised and super content that there wasn’t a single other scarf design that I wanted this time!!!😎🙌. I hope this feelings stays for a while. It’s a really nice one to have
Here’re some ‘feathery’ scarves to stay on theme, as I missed more then two weeks.

And a different kind of ‘pastry’ now, this one edible. I loooooove these 🫣😋😋😋

I love all of your scarves @Helena7 and your Pony Pit Stop ties beautifully. I've been eyeing that design and think the blue looks the best but I have so many blue scarves already. It's such a cute design though and I love the geometry at the edges. Resistance may be futile *if* I'm fortunate to encounter one on summer travels. A silk souvenir is the best trip memento! Thank you for sharing the luscious green eye candy from the H displays and those purple Orans... so many things to drool over. I'd eat that pastry to cope with all the pretties I can't bring home! So glad to hear you enjoyed your summer travel and ate all the things! Winning!

Wanted to wear this darling d’Orphee today which does not get nearly enough wear. Although I only managed to keep it on my neck for about as long as it took to snap this pic, due to the heat.

Reasonably on theme with all its adorable avian characters.

Egads! Those colors are drop dead gorgeous on you! Your necklaces are perfect styling with this one too. Brilliant styling @Jereni once again!

Hi Scarfies,
I would love recommendations on where to buy scarf rings like MaiTai used to sell. I lost my favorite one which was from her and would love to replace it with something similar. I believe they were painted or enameled horn (or maybe wood?). It's been a decade or more since I bought it. I apologize if this isn't the proper place to ask - I couldn't find another forum in which to post this.

Such a serene and effortless look! That bold hem adds nice contrast.
Just exquisite! This is a 140 silk design that I have long coveted. Can’t ever settle on a cw, and I don’t see them for resale often.

Beautiful @Jereni-- it is so shimmery... and thank you so much-- both those scarves make me very happy... :hugs:
YES!! Does anyone know how to get rid of it??

On topic: Grand Theatre Nouveau CSGM today - these shawls are perfect for summer A/C on the commuter trains…

Just gorgeous @cali_to_ny -- I always regret not getting a bright cw of this amazing shawl-- this pastel one is a beauty and you are right about how useful they can be in summer! Especially in these light and happy colors.
Thank you to @Karenska for stepping in to start the theme when RL overtook me

The screech from the aviary is deafening, but I'm going to start the week with a cotton scarf first. I adore H cotton. Vintage H cotton scarves are amazing and no matter how tightly you tie them, the wrinkles will vanish overnight.

My most recent purchase is Bord a Bord. A cotton scarf which I could not resist because the cws are so pretty and it is in an unusual size - 80cm. I vacillated between the blue and pink, but finally bought the pink - a warm-toned rose dragee. If you are not intimidated by the juxtaposition of scarves with food, the crisp white cw is simply lovely.

The pink colour doesn't come out true in the flat photo (cold fluorescent light unfortunately). And it's all wrinkled from being worn with a small Eperons scarf ring, so I'm waiting to see if the creases will vanish by the morning :coolio:

It was only after I'd paid and happily reached home that I found more to love about this design. The names of the boats are jokes about H and some common themes in their designs
The obligatory "Hermes Paris" bobs on the waves in the company of Captain Orange, Hippocampus, Atlantiko and a boat tied up at berth 24!

And to mollify the jungle chickens, here are the two cotton Phoenix pareos which took me quite some years to track down. The one in black/white is a full size pareo while the colourful version is a smaller rectangle.

Hello @xincinsin!!! I love your lovely pink Bord à Bord and thank you for the reminder about pareos!
This cw is so very charming @Croisette7-- I love the birds faces! They remind me of a children's book of long ago... Thank you for showing it (and for the nice remark)
It seems like it’s one of those days when only goofy pictures of myself are possible, so here’s a goofy picture 😆 My parrot scarf and clematis “Tie Dye” look awesome in any case! View attachment 6195499View attachment 6195500
Beautiful garden and you @Teaforparrots and what an interesting Clematis...
Mousseline and feather on this Brazil today!

And the feather front and center @AnnaE!
Welcome to @xincinsin. I find that Summer is a great time for cotton and cotton blend scarves.

Today I'm wearing Carrick Bend, a cotton/silk blend 100 from the men's department.

This is a great cotton scarf @Redbirdhermes-- love the hem.
Is that a 70cm scarf or 90cm held by the beautiful butterfly ring? Thank you.
It is a 70 @Winter4-- I have not figured out how to make it work with a 90.
Very pretty, perfect for the theme and summer days… and blue…💙
Tapis Persans and De tout cœur mousselines. It’s hot so no real scar wearing, just playing. The older mousseline is much sturdier and has a different hand (Tapis is the younger one).

Thank you. I have blue on my mind these days. 💙 Both moussies are divine on you and I think I actually know what you mean about the "hand" on the older ones-- not quite as "puddle-y" and soft. Sisters on the Tapis, though I envy your cw @Maedi!

I wish! It is such a shame she stopped producing them. I hope someone has a suggestion to share with you @twin-fun and for all of us!

A big welcome to @xincinsin as she takes control of the tiller this week...I also am a member of the crew aboard the newest cotton scarf. Sharing the white Bord à Bord (my favorite despite the perils) styled very simply: a cotton scarf on a cotton shirtdress. I took my regular selfie window mod shot and then thought I should at least try to get some ocean in the background.

And Elias Kafouros is not the only one coming up with witty names for boats! I saw this one on my Sunday perambulations and had to take a photo! Every summer I reread the novel that is subject of the pun so it was a "when worlds collide" moment for me. Alas I was not wearing the scarf at the time, though I am tempted to go back and take a scarf on site photo with the book in my hand, too...
