Hopping in for a quick drop of a new grail! Oh how I love it so much :hbeat: 💘

I wanted it loose for heat. I put the twilly charm on the top tail to hold the tie down so the silken tie wouldn’t loosen. And it worked all afternoon!

Since joining H silk life in 2018 it took me to 2023 to get a hold of the pastel anglais for the price of not my kidney. I actually found two pastel that year. One I paid a lot more for and one for below retail. So I sold the costlier one to recoup my money. And took to 2025 to get the red for the similar lack of organ payment. My top two cw’s.
Well, it’s gorgeous, congratulations, @Nomad, and just beautiful. And that is a clever idea to use a twilly ring to give the scarf a bit of weight. My scarves go out of form with moving and all, I will have to remember that hack.

Scarfmail but hmm.

Team, I’d been looking for this one for a long time so pounced on it the other day. And it is high contrast so - on theme!

But, I am not sure and that is probably enough of an indication. It’s lovely and I adore the graphics but I don’t know if it does much for me. Thoughts?

Petit Duc in white, black, gray, and pink.

Whilst I deliberate, I went with Dans un Jardin Anglais today instead.

It’s a rose gold kind of mood…

Late to the party here, @Jereni, I like it very much, but you know me and black. The DuJA pairing is just lovely and what a bracelet stack! :faint:

Thank you to @Karenska for hosting this week where we have to figure out how to complement and contrast our outfits. I'm ending the week with the same complementary colors that I began this week, however in reverse. Instead of a blue top and a yellow-orange scarf, today I’m wearing a teal scarf with an orange top.

Petite Venerie in teal is my scarf of the day.

Thank you, @Redbirdhermes, I don’t know how I missed your nice post. A lovely look and what a beautiful cw of PV.

Your Les Becanes is divine, @Nomad. For some reason it reminds me of Mary Poppins? Just so joyful and playful in this colorway. That striped hem is everything. I'm sure it made going to your appointment more fun!

You have styled this so perfectly and taught me about something new, @FA73! Huge thank yous for posting this delightful scarf and for the followup link you shared with more info..

Dazzling visual fireworks for sure! Love it, @Cookiefiend.

What a satisfying contrast with your top! Sending you cooler weather vibes.

Okay that is too cool! Thank you for sharing this fascinating tidbit and big congrats on your Very Good Day. :hugs:

I am totally using this tie the next time I wear my Parade, @HermesEchidna. Looks so good with your black top too and the brooch as a counterweight.

Three super pretty looks, @LKBNOLA! I especially like your polka dots with space shopping and that scarf ring.

I will have to remember to stop to check for silky goodness the next time I'm in an antique store. A ring from my grandmother was the only jewelry heirloom left to pass down to me after my mother's collection was stolen when I was in college, and I'm always drawn straight to the jewelry displays there, wishfully hoping to find those long lost pieces again.

Hope you had a lovely time catching up with your dear friend.
@SilkCashmereCotton, I am so sorry that your mother’s jewelry collection was stolen. That happened to a friend of mine. Such a violation to be burglarized/ vandalized but it is especially heartbreaking when the losses are personal and sentimental treasures.

Hi Jereni, I think you look great, it is very sophisticated and elegant, however this style is obviously different from what you wear usually, see: DuJa. It depends if you would like to have a different look sometimes, if you see it as a complementary rather than "not you". Meaning, stepping a little bit out of your comfort zone. I do this from time to time by wearing pale colours or classic designs and I find this quite rewarding. Like discovering and enhancing a new side of your personality. Good luck in deciding!

@Jereni I couldn’t agree more with @darkstar66‘s assessment. It is a more formal style than the usual more playful looks that are „typical you“. But it is a beautiful and sophisticated look, if you want something different every now and then ..

Good day, dear Scarf Friends, I have been necessarily MIA and you have been busily showing off beautifully coordinated and stylish outfits. I need to catch up, which I plan to do tonight, but I will leave you with a big thank you for all of your wonderful, inspiring contributions this week and a few more thoughts about contrasting and complementing color.
Sometimes the jewelry, in this case a vintage Zuni needlepoint brooch, feeds off the look of the scarf. I really like this look. Baobab Cat gav.

Similarly here, cornflower blue accents support the bold red sweater and bright blue of the scarf (which also has deep red accents). Quand Soudain 70

Bits of cobalt pop with another red sweater and the reds in Tigre Royal Fleuri. Binta, my name for this majestic beast, peeps out. Oh, animal stripes, spots and markings!

This blue/purple freshwater pearl and garnet necklace coordinates with the blues, forest green and deep purples of Equateur.

Neutrals on neutral. Ok, there is a pop of color with the red, but overall, the effect is complementary rather than seriously contrasting. Hermes Factory, a beautiful find on which I took a chance and I adore it.

Love all your jewelry pairings!!! That cobalt necklace against the red sweater is fire 🔥

Thank you to @Karenska for a beautiful week of coordinate and contrast and two scarf wearing! I love the ideas, styling suggestions and examples from your own scarf closet. I am sure I am not alone in appreciating your hosting while stressed at home and I hope that things ease up for you soon so you can just loll around with us in Summer Scarflandia...:flowers:🙏🧡 ☀️ And thank you everyone for your marvelous photos and stylings this week. I bookmarked quite a few mod shots!

I know that our Poet-in-Residence @Cookiefiend has written an Ode to Brown, but honestly for me it was a color more often featured in outerwear, accessories or perhaps merged into a plaid. This summer I bought a linen dress with eyelet sleeves and details in...brown. Of course I need another linen dress about as much as I *need* another scarf, but it was just so compelling and sophisticated to me (plus it has pockets). Turns out it pairs wonderfully with a few (actually quite a few) scarves! I wore it yesterday evening in combination with mauve, but I have also worn it with pink; shown both ways below.

That Flowers of South Africa with the brown dress is such an inspired look!
The whole thing comes together so beautifully.

Going to try ad share a quick pic between the pop-ups that are covering the reply box. Please excuse any typos.

Haven’t had a moment to share trip pics since we returned, but here’s a couple that I think are on theme. I’ve had this one in the vault for a while, and it made it out in time for a ‘scarf on site’ in Paris!

Boite au Vol pointu. I can’t find much info on this, except it was a Bali Barret design in 2005, came in limited colourways, and features a hand holding an Hermès scarf box in front of the Eiffel Tower (shown from below, forming the black and white design). Just managed to catch the nightly light show at the tower in the background!

Not an ideal top for it, but it’s what I was wearing at the time and checks the box for our contrast theme.

And another new-to-me that joined me on the trip, Collier de Chiens. The earlier (2013?) edition, without the dog medallions in the border. In contrasting, and complimentary, turquoise and red.

I cropped out my large glass of red wine in the corner, which coordinated quite well! 😂

Love a scarf-on-site!!! This is so perfectly French haha - well done. The new Collier is also lovely on you, congrats!

Hopping in for a quick drop of a new grail! Oh how I love it so much :hbeat: 💘

@SilkCashmereCotton That IS a cheerful pink and your monotone color choices really allow the scarf to take center stage, while toning down the whole look. Beautiful, especially with your jewelry choices.

And how wonderful to see your Un Carre sur l’Herbe with that compelling green border and contrasting white hem! Gorgeous. And what’s not to love about banana earrings? So fun!

@LKBNOLA Your styling is always so chic and this post is just another masterclass on pattern mixing. The idea of putting space between patterns by wearing a solid top and leaving the matching between scarf and pants or skirts is such a great pointer. I think @Croisette7 does this too, and of course so we have seen with @darkstar66. I am realizing most all of my pants are solid in color, but I do have some patterned skirts to try it with!

@Maedi thank you for sharing this collage of your scarves for your “work” project. How very productive! I nominate you for a raise and more time off!:giggle:

I’m with those who say the Brazil detail scarf needs a pardon from the chopping block and a chance to renter society as a productive member of Scarflandia. The colors are so rich.

@Croisette7. Perfection. Just perfect. The contrasting colors, the simplicity, and of course, the CSGM. As they say, “Never let them see you sweat, and never let them see you shiver.” 😆

@SilkCashmereCotton Love your delicious description of your gorgeous colorway of Triomphe! I can certainly see in the photo how the chocolate leans into burgundy. So happy to be sisters with you on this compelling design with the horse expressions!:hugs:

@darkstar66 Absolutely compelling, these combinations! We are triplets on the pink Tyger Royale with @LKBNOLA. ❤️

@LKBNOLA Lovely! I’m so glad you finally got your navy Mystères and your green Le Philateliste is gorgeous. I really like green and blue together as a combination. Here in Seattle people might stop and ask you if there’s a Seattle Seahawks football game today. 🧐😄

@SilkCashmereCotton I’m going to guess that boat is shooting flares. The swells seem pretty large and the vessel may be in trouble. Adding to it that most vessels would not be shooting fireworks. Fire onboard a vessel is one of the worst misfortunes possible, and one would not be firing off fireworks in those seas, if ever. In the Seattle area and in the Islands, however, local Independence Day fireworks displays are often done from floating barges in calm lakes or protected bays. Those are my two cents, anyway. Feel free to ask any other PNW questions! 😊
Fantastic scarf btw. It’s the first time I’ve seen this design.
Thank you so much, CedarWaxWing!

We are back to sunny weather and the temperature is a nice 72 degrees F. This morning the dogs and I walked in the town's community garden and enjoyed a new small apple grove and the butterfly way station, mostly the milkweed is full of fat bees drunk on pollen... SOTD was the lovely Ivresse au Vent worn, quite unwittingly but very serendipitously, with my butterfly ring... sisters with @CoastalCouture!
