I adore this post, the story, the photos and the beautiful outfit all fill me with positive, warm vibes. We are back to sunny weather and the temperature is a nice 72 degrees F. This morning the dogs and I walked in the town's community garden and enjoyed a new small apple grove and the butterfly way station, mostly the milkweed is full of fat bees drunk on pollen... SOTD was the lovely Ivresse au Vent worn, quite unwittingly but very serendipitously, with my butterfly ring... sisters with @CoastalCouture!

Fabulous, LKB! Both scarves are beautiful with your chic linen dress! Twins on FoSA.Thank you to @Karenska for a beautiful week of coordinate and contrast and two scarf wearing! I love the ideas, styling suggestions and examples from your own scarf closet. I am sure I am not alone in appreciating your hosting while stressed at home and I hope that things ease up for you soon so you can just loll around with us in Summer Scarflandia...🙏🧡 ☀️ And thank you everyone for your marvelous photos and stylings this week. I bookmarked quite a few mod shots!
I know that our Poet-in-Residence @Cookiefiend has written an Ode to Brown, but honestly for me it was a color more often featured in outerwear, accessories or perhaps merged into a plaid. This summer I bought a linen dress with eyelet sleeves and details in...brown. Of course I need another linen dress about as much as I *need* another scarf, but it was just so compelling and sophisticated to me (plus it has pockets). Turns out it pairs wonderfully with a few (actually quite a few) scarves! I wore it yesterday evening in combination with mauve, but I have also worn it with pink; shown both ways below.

Thank you so much!Oh your Dallet is beautiful @CoastalCouture-- perfect for summer. My hydrangeas have just popped also. I am so delighted because they were not happy last summer and I missed their blue gloriousness all around me...
That grenadine is just stupendous @Croisette7 and as @Maedi said, perfect match to your avatar!
Thank you @Jereni! And I am sorry Petit Duc did not please you! It took me forever to find that cw and I wear it every year to a Holiday tea at the Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans (among other things!). But it has to be love with our scarves, for sure. And speaking of love, are those your wedding flowers? How very very beautiful!
Thank you @Karenska! My grandfather was a stamp collector and just for the childhood memories, I had to have that one!Adore that yellow and gray look! When I was in my twenties I had a huge crush on that color combo, and even relied on it as part of my wedding colors.
Thank you @Maedi-- love seeing your Mystère and how perfectly coordinated with your Behapis and your Lift!!! The hem on this cw is so fabulous...
Thank you @EtsyBoss! That is the brightest most St-Patrick's-Day-Appropriate kelly green item in my closet!
I love this @HermesEchidna-- it sounds like the start of an Alexander McCall Smith series: The Proud Mothers Pangolin Club... but seriously, congratulations. You look very well scarfed for the occasion!
Oh, this is so great @darkstar66! You did the tank top wrap with tails tied on the sides-- what a great variation-- I shall have to try that! I am your blue CSGM sister on this and it is just a perfect summer look. I am partial to skirts on hot days too...
Beautiful clematis, great scarf pairing and I feel like I was there at that twilly's inception @Redbirdhermes!
Thank you @CedarWaxWing -- I am always learning from the best here. Love these "styling" weeks especially for the great ideas... and that is hilarious. I have a number of black and gold cws of scarves for Saints games in NOLA-- maybe we need a theme week called "Team Colors"?
Two beauties @SilkCashmereCotton -- I am your sister on Legende de la Forêt. I have the black one and I love it. You are reminding me it needs some neck time! Your Feux du Route is fabulous (love the rope border). I grew up on islands and we sailed as a family so to me the ocean at night is a magical memory. There are quite a few vintage designs that upon examination yield little stories in the vignettes-- some alarming as on your scarf. I concur with everything that @CedarWaxWing has said about it: that ship is in distress. Loved hearing the story of your "ruby" ring and I too have a memory of hearing Leonard Cohen in concert and yes, chills!
Congratulations, Nomad! What a cute twilly charm!Hopping in for a quick drop of a new grail! Oh how I love it so much💘

I wanted it loose for heat. I put the twilly charm on the top tail to hold the tie down so the silken tie wouldn’t loosen. And it worked all afternoon!
Since joining H silk life in 2018 it took me to 2023 to get a hold of the pastel anglais for the price of not my kidney. I actually found two pastel that year. One I paid a lot more for and one for below retail. So I sold the costlier one to recoup my money. And took to 2025 to get the red for the similar lack of organ payment. My top two cw’s.
Great scarf on site, Lellabelle! I'm your Boîte au Vol sister!Going to try ad share a quick pic between the pop-ups that are covering the reply box. Please excuse any typos.
Haven’t had a moment to share trip pics since we returned, but here’s a couple that I think are on theme. I’ve had this one in the vault for a while, and it made it out in time for a ‘scarf on site’ in Paris!
Boite au Vol pointu. I can’t find much info on this, except it was a Bali Barret design in 2005, came in limited colourways, and features a hand holding an Hermès scarf box in front of the Eiffel Tower (shown from below, forming the black and white design). Just managed to catch the nightly light show at the tower in the background!

Not an ideal top for it, but it’s what I was wearing at the time and checks the box for our contrast theme.
And another new-to-me that joined me on the trip, Collier de Chiens. The earlier (2013?) edition, without the dog medallions in the border. In contrasting, and complimentary, turquoise and red.

I cropped out my large glass of red wine in the corner, which coordinated quite well! 😂
Good day, dear Scarf Friends, I have been necessarily MIA and you have been busily showing off beautifully coordinated and stylish outfits. I need to catch up, which I plan to do tonight, but I will leave you with a big thank you for all of your wonderful, inspiring contributions this week and a few more thoughts about contrasting and complementing color.
Sometimes the jewelry, in this case a vintage Zuni needlepoint brooch, feeds off the look of the scarf. I really like this look. Baobab Cat gav.

Bits of cobalt pop with another red sweater and the reds in Tigre Royal Fleuri. Binta, my name for this majestic beast, peeps out. Oh, animal stripes, spots and markings!

This blue/purple freshwater pearl and garnet necklace coordinates with the blues, forest green and deep purples of Equateur.

Neutrals on neutral. Ok, there is a pop of color with the red, but overall, the effect is complementary rather than seriously contrasting. Hermes Factory, a beautiful find on which I took a chance and I adore it.

A beautiful wedding bouquet, Jereni!Thank you! Those were the bridesmaid flowers. My third wedding color was teal (surprise surprise) and this below was my bouquet. Photographed great but it was soooo heavy.

I adore this meta design and always thought Bali B was so clever. Gorgeous beetle brooch, too.
So happy to have given you some inspiration, @SilkCashmereCotton!Thank you, @Karenska, for hosting this enlightening week. Taking away lots of new ideas to put into practice!
You look as cool as a mousseline, @Redbirdhermes. A beautiful look.Hi @Karenska and welcome back for Light as a Feather Week. I found a few birds on my scarf today, including this one hiding in the folds.

I’m So glad you got it, Jereni. We’re twins now. I got a 3. cw recently! Couldn’t resist. Not really on theme, just wanted to wear my newer Coeur some more.
I’m absolutely obsessed with this but ironically am not finding it goes with much of my existing wardrobe. Does not matter really - I will never get rid of it, lol am more likely to buy new things to go with it hahaha.
