Dear Scarfies,
This week’s theme, “Clever Hands,” made me think of my Tapis Persan scarf. It’s such a beautiful tribute to Persian carpet weaving! I don’t remember which scarfie was the enabler (maybe @Julide ), but when I first saw this colorway on the forum, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I was thrilled to finally find it last year—a perfect nod to the clever hands that bring beauty to life through craft.

I love how you always find the perfect colorways that brighten up your look. The Quetzal is especially stunning!
Utterly off theme. Admitting my resolve for less purchases in 2025 lasted not even a week.
I loved my new blue Coeur de vie so much I bought another. I had my eye on three colorways waiting for sales to hit. I knew the blue was perfect when it dropped in price, but had such a curiosity about this colorway. As it fell another price drop I pounced. In my attempting to migrate my mindset from being a summer season to spring I went for this cw. And I am in love. It is so brightening on me! And of note- as far as the color season world goes, they literally list my sweater top color as a “worst shade” for me haha. And sadly without a scarf block on, my skin complexion looks like strawberry jelly with just this sweater on.

And yup you guessed it..those 2025 resolutions gone. But in my defense against myself lol, this quetzal was on my approved purchase list. Been since 2019 I have been looking for this cw again for below retail. I bought it from H online in 2019/20 and returned it telling myself I wouldn’t wear it enough. Ha joke on me as I accumulated more csgms and got comfortable with the format, and then always hunted for this one back.

SOTD is Les Cles, I love looking at keys...especially the old ones like the one on the scarf! The handmade ones seem to have more character than the mass produced ones.

The Arabesques is beautiful (I’ve eyed that very CW more than once!) but oh, that Arbre du vent in purple and turquoise
I have a beautiful non-H silk that fills that colour niche for me, but it’s still so tempting. Lol, too funny! You look super.Bit of a theme stretch but: Jardin Anglais today. Curated gardens certainly require skilled hands to build and maintain, after all?
And yes I realize I’m leaning way too much into these ear muffs but DC is like, colder than Norway rn and I am OVER IT

Well, there is clearly a space in the wardrobe for this yellow top - it pairs beautifully with each of these. The coeur is fantastic on you! I love it with the blue on you, it pulls it back into familiar territory, but keeps that brightening effect 😁. Like a tropical oasis 👍Sotd was not on theme but is on my brain. The turquoise Coeur de vie in a car photo.
And I apologize to everyone that you all are stuck on my color journey with me. I bought a spring colored shirt in the Fall and hadn’t worn it yet and after that green coeur scarf mail I wanted to wear this new color. Super fun to have such a bright unusual ( for me entirely) color in my entire closet. Makes me happy to open the door. It is photographing more banana yellow-ish but it is more like an autumn mustard color but with a little more brightness than that.
For theme I had fun seeing what else goes with it.
Fleurs de Montagne where climbing rope is made by hand.
Grand theatre (with matching yellows but the light shining off of it) where costumes and props are made and painted and sewed by hand. And Fleurs d’ecosse (which Red showed earlier) with its tartan plaid fabric and handmade kilt pins/adornments.

I would love to see a double plissé close up @eliwon! I think H have been doing one CSGM plissé each season but not so many 90s of late. I must say, I am a fan of the wider pleats so as to see more design...

Well, it seems that the Clever Hans effect is much in evidence on our scarf threads if it is defined as "unintended cueing"-- that shounds an awful lot like enablement, no? Your posts are always so entertaining @HermesEchidna and so beautifully illustrated!

This is the most stunning iteration of this design @orchard! Just beautiful...Wow! I do not think I have ever seen this cw in real life! Even when I was doing my own sedulous search for this design. In 2013, Christine Henry drew on the unique heritage found in the collections of the Lyon Museum of Fabrics and Decorative Arts for the design of her giant triangle scarf. The inspirations are manifold: Coptic tapestries, Ottoman fabrics from the sixteenth century, Lyon silks, 18th-century Indian fabrics or Japanese kimonos brought together in a pattern that resembles a meadow of flowers.

I thought I was a summer and the color analyst determined during a very long appt that I am a Spring. I agreed. I need warmth, so a little yellow ( not blue) in colors, brightness and a little contrast that summer didn’t have with their light, dusky, cool and zero contrast. I am fine in summer so no need to go crazy, but I am my best in springs and bestest
