But to be honest: this is the result from a Harry Potter quiz last year. I feel very seen, but has no scarf to match

Wish you all a superb Sunday.
Thankyou for the week that just passed - looking forward to the rainbow tinted one to come.
You look grand, LKB.😍Dear Scarfies, wishing a very Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates! My family and I are still ensconced on a beautiful island paradise, winding down our vacation so I have not seen all your wonderful posts from Power Week-- looking forward to catching up a bit next week after I head home and before I take off again for Jazz Fest in New Orleans. I am liking and loving what I have seen today! The one silk 90 I brought with me has been perfect for the week and for today-- lots of happy birds (and I see sisters with @FA73 and several others here 🧡 )

I never followed Harry Potter, so I took the quiz and other than liking flying and being smart, everything else was randomly chosen. I'm an owl. I'm guessing that you are likeable.Oh, and thank you (but should it be, no thank you) @HermesEchidna for putting the Patronus idea in my head. Like @Lellabelle and @xincinsin I needed to find out.
I took the quiz...I was musing last week about the wise and mysterious owl as my desired spirit animal.

And my Patronus is.... drum roll... The Chow dog

My pride is a little hurt, but at least I am cute 🤣🤣🤣
Let's go for Indigo today!
The H indigo for leather is dull dark blue that can appear almost black. Luckily the H indigo for scarves is much brighter. Inspired by @Lellabelle right at the tail end of 2024, I finally took the plunge and bought the indigo fonce cw of Three Graces

I haven't worn it yet as the weather is dreary right now (flash floods!), but I am totally loving it
Interesting factoid about indigo, scientists who studied Newton's work believe that his usage of "indigo" equates to our modern "blue", and Newton's "blue" was our "cyan". Well, that really opens up the field for me tomorrow, doesn't it?(thinks hard - do I have any scarves in cyan?)
On my merry way towards blue in either sense of the word, allow me to introduce a wonderful bright blue that is my fave as well as kissing cousins with indigo. H produced several scarves that had Klein blue in the listed cw.
This is Charmes des Plages Normandes in bleu marine and bleu klein. The two shades of blue (you can see them in the close-up) are equally intense.

Klein blue is a vivid blue that reminds me of lapis lazuli. Another fun fact: this intensely blue semi-precious stone was ground up in ancient times to be made into the pigment ultramarine.

The luminously bright Lumieres..

Maitres de la foret with a base so bright and so blue that one reseller described it as purple (ultraviolet?)

Urashima Taro has aa amazing blue border

And lastly, the limited ed cw of Wild Singapore uses a brilliant blue as an accent colour. I can assure you that our mangrove swamps do not look like an alien landscape

The colour is amazing, and it’s impossible to photograph. It actually glows in direct sunlight. This is in the middle of a hailstorm this morning, with heavy grey cloud and low light. It’s still luminous 💙
