Scarves Scarf of The Day 2025 - Which Hermès scarf are you wearing today?

I had actually never owned a yellow garment/accessory until I discovered that Hermès did some shades of yellow that I could actually wear. Otherwise those shades seem to be thin on the ground!

After that I noticed that a local linen fabric store had fabric in a color that looked right for me, and I wished I had more time to sew.

Then, miraculously, a designer whose work I follow (Lisa Bayne) decided to produce a linen dress in that shade, in a petite size that fits my shoulders and in a silhouette that works for me. So: now I get to have a shirt dress! It’s a great backdrop for my purple FdC. I’m very fortunate to have it.

My first Under the Waves was the orange mousseline in brand new condition for well under retail. It was a must-buy while I continued to look for a 90.

View attachment 6153263

My second Under the Waves was a 90, but it was pink with lots of coral. This was my placeholder for over two years.

View attachment 6153264

My hunt continued for this colorway. The bright cobalt blue with lots of red, and all the other rainbow colors.

View attachment 6153265

It finally arrived last year in new with tags condition. A bit over retail, but, oh my, these amazing colors make my heart sing.

My scarf of the day is Under the Waves in cobalt blue with red, and lots of rainbow happiness.

Beautiful @Agrume! A perfect choice. Certainly a favorite scarf for me...

So cool with the texture of your jacket and such an uplifting blue.

Red is one of my favourite colours too @Cookiefiend . You look radiant in red ❤️

It’s beautiful and I also love your styling @Agrume

Wonderful memories and wonderful blues @EtsyBoss

Very elegant and playful at the same time @Maedi

Beautiful. I love how green can be hopeful and calming

You wear red so well, Cookie ... the Flamingo Party is stunning!

Hello twin! ... so cool styled, Agrume!

Yes, I did ... thank you Cookie!

Thank you Maedi!

Thank you so much, Jereni!

I love classics!

Yes, I do, thank you redheaddem!
Thank you, dear Cookie, Maedi, LKBNOLA, Redheaddem and Croisette for your kind remarks. :flowers:

Oh, it’s this Toucans de Paradis. I’m very tempted by the idea of the background color and the raspberry sort of hem:

I see pics like the above and this one, which get me excited:
View attachment 6153447

But then also pics where the color looks more like this and it’s like - “oh ok no nevermind.”

View attachment 6153448
Well - that is a fantastic color, and the raspberry hem is just <chef’s kiss>!
I think it can definitely be tied in a way (several ways truly) to hide the negative space… one great way would to wear a similar color top - the teal would ‘hide’ in your top and the design would shine.
I agree with @LKBNOLA - try to find one you can return to try it out - and be sure to try your fabulous bib knot!
Following our dear @LKBNOLA's example and showing my favorite scarf with favorite colors, the palette of blue, the splash of orange, a favorite format too. It is perfection, the first one I hunted and quite irreplaceable now...

Ooooooo :faint:
The orange tassel is just the most fab pop ever!
(Twins toooo!)
I have no favourite, all of them are beautiful.
You need a Brazil? A CSGM? Maybe the white one

If I saw you on the street in this, I would have to run over with squeals of delight proclaiming how beautiful you are! It’s so wonderful!

(Also - you look so happy!)

A very happy cw @HermesEchidna. I can see why this one captivated so many scarfies when this charming design came out! But we need to talk. You walked out of the boutique empty-handed? Without so much as a lipstick? Girl, you are slacking... :nono:
I am afraid it is true, and yes that is very uncaracteristic for me. Really do not know what happened.
I went with every intent of leaving with the dark cw of Nous somme inseparables (I believe you have it?!), but though gorgeous it is, it did not sing to me, and other designs I had considered was not even in the store.
But yes. I should have got a lipstick instead. 🤦‍♀️

I think it would be great on you!!!!
(And that is not just my non-shoppers remorse trying to proxy you 😊)

To shamelessly steal LKB’s verbiage, my recent scarf ‘color crush’ has been cranberry red. This more or less started with my first DuJA but then kicked into high gear once I got Trésors d’un Artiste. I don’t have a ton of pieces with this color yet but the obsession is still going strong so I don’t have much hope for keeping things reasonable.

Archive pics, where the scarf has at least a hint of this tone.

Zomg - it’s already Thursday!

I’ve spent most of my day thus far (prolly returning to the same task after this teeny break), inventorying our cellar. After our move(s) and giant purge - I have no idea what we have or where it is.
And I’m trying to do this in the company of Mr Cookie - who is a great guy, but has the attention span of a two year old, and tends to put things away in the same fashion.
So - it’s taking a while and is somewhat stressful.

I need some H Zen. (No - I haven’t bought any H today… yet)
But some calm color zen.
In the shade of gray, but then
A few other colors, now and again

With lil hints a blue

But my favorite gray scarf is truly so calm - even the name is calming - a walk in the winter woods sounds so quiet and peaceful… and as a bonus - this fabulous yellow hem!

Thank you all again for your kind comments. I am so thankful for this kind and generous community of scarfies.

This suits you extremely well, Jaq1, and especially in combination with this mint coloured, soft blouse, the perfect background for this cw!
Thank you dear darkstar, I have to admit, it is my favorite blouse for a reason and pairs well with quite a few of my scarfs ..
Just gorgeous and I love how you tied it @Jacq1 and a very good point about types of color, or the nature of the shades-- warm, icy, cool. It does make a difference!
Thank you, and yes, absolutely… I still struggle to let myself be defined by a color season but there definitely are some aspects to consider there about warm and cold types..
YASSS! These are so amazing on you!
Which scarf is tempting you? Sometimes scarves with a lot of negative space tie really well…

Thank you sweetheart!

Awwww - thank you!
(Mebbe I neeed moar red?)

Thank you so much!
That second to last scarf is Mille Feuilles de Soie, just a bias fold!

Gorgeous!

Beautiful greens, and I also think it is a hopeful color.

Thank you sweetheart!

Oh my! Each is stunning on you! I especially like the color on your BG shawl!

Thank you so much Croisette! ❤️

Oh myyyy that is luminous!

Perfect on your top and the perfect tie!

What a gorgeous pastel look! ❤️

Beautiful.
Thank you dear Cookie, also for hosting yet again such a fun week!
Yes!!!! I love this shade on you and in fact I think of it as ‘your’ color. These are all great examples of it. I’m so jealous of your Bal de Soie. I adore that design but didn’t bond with any of the cws.

These are just the perfect colors for this fun, tropical scarf! Love it - and so daring with the black top!

Ooh ooh ooh! We are twins on this and I’ve struggled to pair it with anything other than teal and coral. This light blue is auch a good idea, thank you for the inspiration! I love this knot too - what is it?

Graceful, spring, feminine, effervescent - these are the words that come to mind when I see these pics! Absolutely lovely.

Gah, this is gorgeous. With the pale pink top it is just ::chef’s kiss:: Makes me think of cotton candy for some reason.
Thank you for your kind compliment and happy to be twins!
The knot is the asymmetrical fold (Cookie demonstrated this during knot week). Then take the two shorter ends and slide up a scarf ring. Done - very easy but dramatic effect ;-)
You look so elegant and festive, just beautiful Jacq!
Thank you, dear Croisette! I am glad you are recovering well and I love your new in JC!

I am joining in your sub theme today with my SOTD - sometimes we need some quietness in our scarves in stead of loud colors.

I always thought the mosaic is too busy ... but now I love it.
Everything is perfect with it! Jacket, cuff and shoes-- all wonderful. Congratulations dear @Croisette7. I think it is a lovely Spring beauty and it looks wonderful on you. The mosaic is busy but in the way of little jewels-- it makes the design sparkle!
PS Thank you for that gorgeous Brazil enablement
